Big tactical test for OGS but he's come through with flying colours. Must have a good shout to get the job full time.

not sure about that. second half I don't think Utd had one cleat cut chance. Spurs could have won that game 4-1. Coulda, woulda, shoulda I know, but not sure that was a tactical battle, more so DDG playing out his skin and Spurs not being clinical with their chances.

Somewhere in this thread I said United are capable of catching up post Jose. Pogba rejuvenated, attacking talent let loose and an easy fixture list.

I don't feel too good about being vindicated right now since we are the club they'll likely displace if we continue to struggle at home and against sh!t teams.

People are worried about the race for the top 4, well top 3 just become an option.

Sadly it has been an option several times already this season....and everytime we either fluffed it or didnt take the gifts given to us.

I feel a bit ill but want sp*rs to win this. More worried about Utd and arse for fourth spot than them securing third spot

Fcuk it...hilarious to see the chosen ones, despite all their praise, just one point above us and we have been mediocre for months...but it's understandable because this is Sarri's first season and he is trying to revolutionise the style of play without a top striker...it is Pochettino's fifth and he has one of the best forwards in Europe leading the line.

his fanboys in the media will still paint him as the greatest in the land

Jesus wept, don’t smile mate you might crack your face! Where’s the optimism? Where’s the hope? Where’s the sheer delight that Chelsea won while Arsenal and Spurs both lost? Hell, I’m even happy QPR lost!

Ohh im happy enough.....but that doesnt mean I should be content with our consistency. I look ahead and assses the risks.......and so far I have not seen anything that gives me the delight that we will likely take advantage when our rivals slip up....

Well the ideal situation became true, now only 1 point behind spuds while 6 over arse and manur. Now it's really important to win against arse next week and hopefully Ranieri will get a point against spuds.

But we literally just did take advantage when two of them slipped up.

Sort out a striker and there's no reason we won't have a strong push for top 4. Maybe a nice early trophy given the injury-ridden state of Spurs and the fact we'e already beaten Citeh once this season.

Only one of them isn't a dive, and that's the one where he shoots for the ball and misses.

If that's all for this season that's a joke, how on earth is he still winning so many penalties? Referees don't seem to care about his nature to go down easy and from nothing, and that's mainly because there's no coverage on this.

I'll say it again, that game on MOTD where they slagged all of our players off for diving, can't remember the specific game, but it was early on in Mourinho's 2nd season we won 3-0, Willian dived twice, Hazard dived, Costa dived, it was ugly for sure. But we got f**king grilled for it, and because of that incident we ended up getting 3 penalties in the league that whole season with a legitimate 16 good claims for penalties. It had a major effect on our future games because of that coverage, Liverpool will never get slaughtered like that in the media or MOTD, Hazard and Costa were immune to getting penalties after that.

If you guys can't remember that much, just remember that Burnley game with Ashley Barnes, we should've had two penalties, Barnes should've been sent off twice, and the c**t ended up scoring the equaliser or winner, one of them I can't remember, but Matic got sent off for pushing Barnes over after Barnes almost gave him a career injury. Yep... Remember those times?

YEs we took advantage of Arsenal losing, spurs played after us but Counts nonetheless. But its a rare thing with us, we could have easily drawn vs NC, like we have done many times this season. Yeah a decent striker would have given us a big boost.

Horrible isnt it......and yet people doubt it all stinks. Ok the Eng media are a bunch of Cowards......but what about the pgmol, the fa maybe? Why are they not making sure something is done? Zero sense of duty and integrity.....Eng footy is a Circus, written to flow in certain ways depending what their wishes might be today.

Stumbled across on this on MSM news:

Les Ferdinand on trying to get a move to UTD from QPR and Ray Wilkins was giving mixed advice and some life lessons.

Interesting reading this as you then understand why things are not always straightforward.

He also talks about how Keegan's outburst of 'I'll love it if we beat Utd' motivated the team.

Not disputing de Gea is a fine keeper, but after making a number of straight forward stops v sp*rs yesterday, think maybe one or two were noteworthy, he's being proclaimed as greatest keeper in the world by British media again...conveniently forgetting numerous matches over past six-seven months when he's looked bang average
