Still don’t think he is bad keeper. He had a good debut season under Sarri.

The weaknesses that roared to the fore under Lampard were there, we just tried to convince ourselves it was a first season in England thing.

Kepa is a complete liability and he proved it again. You've got to save these hail mary's from outside of the box because every team will get muttiple chances a game and you can't have it so that every one that's on target goes in.

One shot on target, one goal. Yes it was a good goal, but Mendy or any other top keeper is getting a hand to that. The lads paid a lot of money to make saves. He saves f*ck all, no coincidence we are so much better with Mendy in goal. 

It's not about whether he makes that save. He doesn't have the aura that scares opposition that takes a shot.

They see a goal from 30 yards and know there's a possibility to score. 

Then comes the fact that he always dive leading with the wrong hand. He's not built to be a PL keeper.

Either bin him to Bilbao or rip his contract. Utter waste of 200k p/w

The goal never should of stood due to the handball but honestly he’s woeful pretty much any long shot you expect to go in, he gets no where near the ball with his tiny little T. rex arms Mendy gets a hand to that and pushes it wide IMO.

Prior to this game he had several games with clean sheets though so I get the bias against him I really do but sometimes we can also just say that it was a great shot.

Wasn't handball. The rules state that "Accidental handball that leads to a team-mate scoring a goal or having a goal-scoring opportunity will no longer be considered an offence.". Like it or not, the ref/VAR were correct not to give handball.

Mendy may, or may not have saved it. That is speculation.

But is clear however is ...

a) If James had not passed the ball straight to a leicester player, and/or;

B) If Jorginho had closed him down quicker, and/or;

C)If Silva had not stood off and let the player run at him...

...then a blind 4'3 with no arms could have been in goal, because the shot wouldnt have happened. That is a long way of saying the goal was on, in order of blame 1) James 2) Jorginho 3) SIlva 4) My wife 5) Kepa.

Where is this diving with the wrong hand nonsense coming from? He went with his left hand which is the higher of the two. Numerous ex-goalkeepers have covered this when doing punditry. For high shots, the top hand covers greater height.

There is no such thing as a “right” and “wrong” hand.

Now given this game was the focus before Arsenal I will ask this. Does anyone believe Kepa, Ziyech or Alonso starts the CL final? I dont.

TT picked 3 reserves for the same reason basically. They had played most of the previous rounds and deserve it. That is not the right attitude to win a final. 3 reserves because they beat football league teams, the worst side in the PL this season and City reserves.

Leicester took this seriously, TT did not. He screwed up against Arsenal, and he screwed up again here. He has 3 games to put that right.

No more reserves. Each game now is more or less 6 days apart. Play the best team, if you know what that is.

I don't think I've ever despised a Chelsea player more. 

Just want him gone. If he plays another minute this season, TT deserves what he gets. Inept doesn't even cover half of it when it comes to Kepa. 

 

First two are Kante and Mount, Bart is Kepa. 

 

 

I'd rather see Courtois in goal for us again. At least he was semi competent.

This is the problem with Kepa - he attracts controversy and question marks. You’re always left wondering if he could have done better. 

No one from outside our fanbase has blamed Kepa for the goal. Yet our "fans" feel the need to bash him for it. What does this say about the fanbase?

Silva backed off and backed off and invited Tielemens to hit it, he would of hit that shot no matter who was in goal, there is absolutely no way he doesnt hit it even if prime Cech was in goal

That we care more about our players than other fans do. But one thing other fans have said is what incredible saves Kasper made and he won them the game. 

Mendy hasn't conceded one of those shots from 35 yards. Kepa has consistently conceded goals from long range. 

We shouldn't be having this conversation because our number 1 keeper should have been in goal. 

If leicester had also played their second string keeper we'd have won the game 2-1. But they didn't.
