August 25, 20187 yr I saw this coming. Thank you Roman! You have taken our club to a greater height. Thank you for the successes. I just hope we can get a good and Chelsea FC loving buyer.
August 25, 20187 yr I don't believe it tbh. If this was the case, then Roman would have accepted the bid from James Ratcliffe a few weeks/months back.
August 26, 20187 yr Wow just read that, i reckon that that Citeh owners cousin might fancy us, £2Billion you get plenty of 'Bang for your Buck'(pun intended)
August 26, 20187 yr Well if it is true and he does sell, lets hope who ever comes in is a football fan and shows the same enthusiasm as Roman has ........................and they have bags of money of course
August 26, 20187 yr I don't think this holds any truth, but as long as Roman isn't getting his visa there will be someone pushing for these kinds of reports.
August 26, 20187 yr It could just as easily be the case this........visa issues, stadium on hold etc.........it wouldnt surprise me.
August 26, 20187 yr A couple of reports of denials (from "club sources") have been published in the hours since the Time article. Not a huge amount of transparency on this so far... admittedly it would be odd for a publication like the Times to stick their necks out to this extent (i.e. with a front-page exclusive) if they didn't have something. It makes me wonder who their source/s is/are. I'd wait for more news before drawing any conclusions. Edited August 26, 20187 yr by PloKoon13
August 26, 20187 yr RA's recent visa issues, the novachock incidents, not being present when we won the FA cup recently, shelved new stadium plans, all point to him having had enough. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Thanks Roman!

August 26, 20187 yr Hopefully not true but if it is for sale i hope City's owners cousin buys us. Safe to say City are a well run club, even if they do have a few dodgy sponsorships, so at least in that case we'd be likely to stay an elite team whilst the two cousins try to compete with each other.

August 26, 20187 yr If true, if it happens, if if if What about this bloke. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/pa/article-5824261/Roman-Abramovich-turns-Jim-Ratcliffe-s-Chelsea-offer--reports.html Edited August 26, 20187 yr by Kev56
August 26, 20187 yr we're worth more than 2bn in all honesty, especially in these over inflated times
August 26, 20187 yr Ratcliffe is a Manchester United supporter -- it's hard to say if he's an owner with a genuine interest or using it as a business venture. We could easily have an owner like Kroenke or the Glazers
August 26, 20187 yr I looked briefly into him earlier when he made the offer. He watches Chelsea though he is a Man U supporter. He loves football and we are his closest big club. Now Sarri has arrived it may transpire he is just happy to watch, suspect the transfers of Drinkwater and Bakayoko made him think we were short of cash.
August 26, 20187 yr Hope not. He is the best owner in the world + our sensitive fan base won't be able to deal with some American businessmen.

August 27, 20187 yr And there gentltlemen is our totally unbiased press. 'Chelsea for sale' they cant wait to hammer the club, blazoned all over the place. Found this buried down the bottom of the page- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6100521/Chelsea-owner-Roman-Abramovich-plans-resume-500million-redevelopment-Stamford-Bridge.html f**k the lot of them.

I would feel sick inside if we were ever bought out by the Qataris. They're a brutal bunch of despots, and investigations into the City owners appear to show that it is the ruler who really owns City not Mansour, he's just the front. Them getting into football is just a PR exercise to try and improve their relations and business in the west. I know Roman doesn't exactly have a shiny reputation, but at least we could take some comfort from the fact that he is a genuine football fan, who cares passionately about the game and the club. If you want to know what kind of owner we'd have if we were bought out by Qatar, then just give this a read..
