Cardiff are on a par with Huddersfield. A couple of logs of wood at the back, slow but good in the air, a nippy but average midfield and not too much up front. Complacency will be our main problem in this game . However, if Warnock keeps to his promise that he will "have a go" at teams, then they will be wide open to plenty of wallopings because they're not good enough, especially away from home. We're dodgy at defending corners so they might nick a goal that way, but this should be a comfortable win for us.

Keep the back line the same, although the left looks shaky at times we shouldn't make any changes until it really costs us. Luiz's passing is perfect for this style and Alonso can score and won't have to worry about defending too much hopefully.

Barkley in for Kovacic, will have been on the training ground all week and Kovacic hasn't really done enough to have a nailed on spot just yet. Let Barkley have another go or maybe even RLC, however i'd save RLC until PAOK.

Willian out and Pedro in. No brainer for me, Pedro can at least finish in front of goal. Start Morata as i can't imagine he's much use as an impact sub. At least Giroud can come on and save the day again when needed.

We need the situation with the third midfielder solved. Kante is not effective playing that deep, Barkley showed great form since the return of the injury, RLC is hungry and the media hasn't got anything else to put the pressure on the club, so they use him...

How about Kante on the bench on playing both Kovacic and Barkley/RLC. At least in this sort of matches.

Kovacic and Co. were battered around the pitch last night to Spain, losing 6-0.

Now, its only a friendly but I'd be staring with Barkley on Saturday as hes had more rest and should be raring to go, if he gets back into the Chelsea squad, hes still got an England future IMO.

I really hate international football and its nothing to do with the fact I'm Irish and our team is dog s**t, its that it takes away the fun of watching Chelsea (this year).

Jon Moss as ref for Saturday worries me though, hes probably the worst ref in the league I just hope we dont have to rely on him for a call because he rarely gives Chelsea anything and is usually a thorn in our side and cant wait to book Chelsea players.

I love Kovacic as a player, but would be open to starting Barkley here seeing as both Kovacic and RLC have played internationals in the week.

Rotate on a PL game that could put us top due to the other teams fixtures to save players for Europa league group stages this early in the season? Makes no sense mate, full team, keep momentum, if we are winning comfortably he will rest hazard and key players for 20 mins.

He has been playing Kante further forward not deep

Should win easily, but International break does strange things to a team's rhythm, we really didn't need it given we were on a winning streak. Anyway, still expect a win by 2 goals, Hazard/Pedro to score.

Games after the international break is the best time to catch a big side as we've usually had 75% of the squad away travelling.

I dont think RLC will be featured, hes meant to be injured.

Willian traveled to Brazil for friendlies so I cant see him starting and I'd start Pedro anyway even if both were 100%.

Onto the game, it is something of a mystery as to what Colin's game plan actually is. Is he really going to take it up to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge ala Stoke 2016-17? Or is he just bluffing and instead has brought in every bus from Cardiff to park between our goalposts (thus making the game unplayable as the stadium would be full of busses)? Wouldn't put it past him. 

Should be a routine win, but surprises can happen in these games.

Yeah but there's no Special Agent Bakayoko in this side. 

Also Roy Hodgson was always a competent PL manager whereas Warnock IMO is a Championship-standard manager. Qualitatively Crystal Palace were also superior to Cardiff.
