Looking back on it Zaha didn't actually do anything, he gave the ball away a lot, he looked fancy keeping hold of it but in the end it was usually the same outcome, he lost it.

I see this a lot with Zaha. If you frustrate him and give him no space, he's useless. He ends up passing to nobody and goes nowhere with the ball. He would struggle at a top team in this league just as much because he still wouldn't get much space to play. I think he would be a lot better abroad though. He would probably be pretty good in Spain because they give you space to play.

This is exactly the point I was making before halftime, Sky and BT never have any fair Chelsea representation, City also suffer the same. Who did we have covering our game today? Two ex Spurs players and a Palace player, why are there never any Chelsea pundits? I'm not one to say there is a conspiracy against Chelsea, I don't even think the linesman did a terrible job it was a hard decision, but the bias from football coverage is ridiculous lately.

Sadly we've lost Frank on the panel, but I don't see why they managed to get a Palace player to cover but not a an Ex Chelsea player when we have lots and lots of iconic superstars to choose from that would raise the viewership. I mean who the f**k is Joel Ward exactly?

My point exactly about Joel Ward. And he’s seriously talking shi@

I don't mind criticism, I criticise a lot of the time too, but I think people are going a bit far with it when you consider the position we are in.

I wouldn't say Kante isn't that good in this system at all, I agree with those that say he isn't as effective, but I don't think he has been bad or anywhere close to that. He's still put in a lot more good performances than average ones for us. I would say that Kante's performances are on par with most of the team at the moment. I also think his defensive contributions can't be matched by any other player in the team. If you were to replace him with Kovacic, then I think the opposition would find it easier to get at us. I'm not saying Kovacic wouldn't work as hard as Kante, but when it comes to defensive play, nobody is as good at is as Kante.

Some people are saying we should play Jorginho further forward and pull Kante back, but I think that will have a major impact on our style of football. Jorginho keeping that ball moving from deep is vital to the system, I would go as far as to say that he is untouchable at the moment. His role is the most vital one to Sarri's system.

People who are saying that (I haven't seen that said) completely misunderstand the system and have no idea about Jorginho's role.

Kante has been quite sloppy and slow in his new role, for his standards should I add, I'm not saying he offers nothing there but there at times when I'm not fussed that he's been given the ball, usually in an attacking position. Am I being too harsh? Probably but I think I'm entitled to that opinion, and you're entitled to call me negative for it if you wish.

Good performance overall. Luiz was great today apart from the misunderstanding with Jorginho for their goal. Rudiger - rock solid as usual. Marcos Alonso - great assist, solid in the back. Azpilicueta - good in defense this time, bad at delivering in offense, as usual.

Funny that you single out Azpilicueta for criticism going forward when he actually delivered more good crosses into the box than anybody today.

I just don't understand the narrative they're trying to push that Palace were hard done by.

That's one of the reasons there is a lot of bias from pundits these days. They're all unfortunately recruited from certain clubs. Rio Ferdinand, for instance, will still find some excuse against Chelsea even if they win 4-0

I’m not really into this ‘they’re all against us’ theory but how does lovely Jamie say that he didn’t think there was much between the teams today.

It's not a conspiracy it's just common sense, everyone is biased, Jamie likes Liverpool and Spurs, he won't want Chelsea to win, he'll do his best to be impartial because it's his job but he's bound to be bias and say nonsense like that.

Even Neville who I highly rate is guilty of going on and on about United too much, because he's bound to, he's a hardcore United fan and ex United player. I expect no less for two ex Spurs players to be unhappy how Chelsea won the game, they're bound to overstate what Palace did in the game and that's why their coverage has zero value, it would be nice if we had one of our ex players on there standing up for us.

You don't need to wear a tinfoil hat in order to point this out, it's obvious.

Palace can be tricky opponents and we always make hard work of it when we play them so happy with the 3 points.

Less happy with the performance - so many players were really sloppy today and you get complacent against a side like Palace and you regret it. Thankfully Sarri saw that and rightly hooked Barkley, who had a shocker and Willian who yet again faded badly in the second 45. As soon as Hazard took his first touch I was confident we would go on to win. He's just on another level and gave us the lift we needed at that stage in the game. Was comfortable in the end but it could have been different if we hadn't made those changes when we did.

Good win, importantly we showed a bit of character today after having been pegged back. I thought we handled Zaha quite well and quickly boxed him in after the opening few minutes. Great to see Morata get a brace, I've been a critic of him in the past, today he suddenly sprung into action after he won the corner in the first half. It was noticable near the end when he got clipped on his ankles and Oliver waved play on for advantage he got up and sprinted into position. That is what we want to see every week Alvaro. I thought Pedro had a decent game too, not just on the ball but also chasing back to break up counter attacks. It would be nice now to put the Europa League group to bed on Thurs and get another 3 pts going into the next international break.

75% of Jorginho's passes are either sideways or backwards.
Kante has been absolutely poor in Sarri's system.
Fabregas is 'nearly' gone.
Azpilicueta seems to have lost a yard of pace this season and those crosses are drying up.
Alonso is well, Alonso.
---
It is scary to see how heavily dependent we are on Hazard in just about every tricky situation.
----

And now the assist.
Jorginho dictates the game when he passes sideways and backwards. When he gives the ball to a teammate, this draws a nearby opposition player out of position and you will then more often than not see Jorg receive the ball back to look for an opening.

Sky compiling a pretty interesting list of reasons as to why we didn't deserve to win, horrible organisation. Thank god for streaming

Disgusting from Redknapp and Co.  Chelsea - masters of the dark arts that every other snow white Premier League team has nothing to do with.  Utterly bizarre.

To be fair it was mainly the world famous Joel Ward talking complete Bolox.

He was a sour bar steward for sure.  Hard done by - haha!
