December 26, 20187 yr Hard work watching Chelsea at the minute. It seems that no one except Hazards wants to score. Attacking options needed. Good win in a difficult away game. Well done lads.

December 26, 20187 yr Three points is all that matters. Not a great performance but we could have killed off the game several times if the players were clinical. Thank God we still have Hazard.
December 26, 20187 yr Graeme Le Saux was absolutely convinced CHO was taken off because of an injury. But 10 seconds earlier he was convinced it was because CHO gave the ball away right in front of Sarri, so who knows.
December 26, 20187 yr Could've have scored 4 on another day if we were more clinical. Jorginho's pass for the Hazard penalty was great vision and inventive. Despite all the abuse Sarri has taken, he is right, CHO needs time, he is obviously talented, but needs to be introduced slowly.

Like I said to dkw, I really hope you are right because it was a poor thing to do otherwise IMO.

I hate subs being subbed. The only time a sub should be subbed is if they are having an awful game.
December 26, 20187 yr That was a decent and important win. We didn't exactly blow them away but this is midweek, away from home, and in the busiest period of the strongest league in the world so is not to be expected. I'd be interested to see a comparison of our results with the false 9 compared to other matches over the last two seasons. I'd be surprised if we haven't done just as well (or better) with the false 9.
December 26, 20187 yr Looks like CHO’s leg was strapped up afternoon the game, according to his snapchat story.

Think I remember him saying it was one of his most embarrassing moments as a footballer.
December 26, 20187 yr SARRI ON ODOI He played very well for 55 minutes, he had a hamstring problem a week ago and ten minutes to go he had some pain, so we decided to change. I can understand, but there wasn’t another solution. It was too dangerous.
December 26, 20187 yr Ngl but we are becoming really hard to watch. Great win, but very boring. Almost like a one man team unfortunately. Anyway the win was the most important thing, and 5 points off 2nd. Btw on espn they seemed to suggest CHO was injured, he did look it. Shame for the kid, he looked completely lost on that right side.

December 26, 20187 yr If we can get another 3 points at Palace, 6 points in two usually tough fixtures will be a massive coup going into the new year when we can hopefully reinforce a bit. It would also put the pressure on City too who have southampton away. Edited December 26, 20187 yr by enigma
December 26, 20187 yr Just now, Womble said: Pedro and cho injured who's left to fill there boots.... Emerson on the LW, Willian on the RW and Hazard as false 9, if that's how we decide to go vs Palace. Emerson looked to overlap well when he came on, also gives Alonso the space to get in and around the box and cause some danger if Sarri decides this is the best option. December 26, 20187 yr As people have said a good three points away to a difficult team. Found our football fairly boring and frustrating. A lot of possession but not a penatration. On CHO I’m glad to heard that it was an injury that subbed him. On his performance I thought it was poor enough and lacked confidence. Each time he gets the ball I expect him to take on players and be direct but he seemed more content to turn back and pass back or square. This could be more to do with Sarri’s instructions about retaining possession.
