May 23, 20224 yr Lots of similarities with Jorginho IMO. Technically very decent. Struggles with the intense speed and physicality of the EPL. Would still pick him ahead of Werner every day of the week. But that isn't saying a lot.

May 24, 20224 yr Selling Pulisic would be a fantastic statement of intent from the new owners. "Yes, we are American, but we are here to win trophies with the best players, not here for the USA commercial $$$"..... Paraphrasing of course 😉
May 24, 20224 yr Apparently never had Chelsea in his Instagram bio anyway, can anyone confirm? Not that it makes the slightest difference to my life at all.

Incredibly insulting and unfair to Jorginho (And Werner) For me Pulisic is more like a much less talented less useful Saloman Kalou with a great PR and marketing team. Kaloooouuuuuu! Second time in 2 days I'm reminded of him (right, @Mod ). I'm quite sure I won't remember Pulisic as fondly as I remember Salomon, in a sort of "oh that's right, he used to play for us" kind of fondness. Edited May 24, 20224 yr by Valerie
May 24, 20224 yr @Valerie Will always remember Kaloooouuuuuu! and always here to remind you Val! I still have fond memories, more so than Peter Kenyon!
June 1, 20224 yr He might just be making the right noises now, but looks like he could be a stay’er according to the Chelsea site!

June 2, 20224 yr Pulisic was in excellent form tonight for the US in a friendly against Morocco. First he got the assist on the opening goal with a great run, a lovely first touch, great control and a smart pass: Later he earned a penalty with some patient play in the box, and gave the pen to a former youth teammate making his international debut, who converted to make it 3-0.

Clearly very talented. Hope we don’t turn down a Liverpool offer if it comes in since a few fans want him out. Ideal replacement for Mane IMO, & intrigued to see him under Klopp who is a bit more direct in his approach.

I'm resigned to him staying (as the new owners will want him to be their poster boy) but I wonder just how many seasons like the last two he can carry on having until we say enough is enough. You mention about being intrigued to see him under Klopp but if he performs like he has been for us with the competition at that club he'll have an Origi/Minamino role at best.

June 5, 20224 yr Rather than having the same debate about Pulisic, all I'll say is he's one of us I don't want him to leave. Call me crazy, but alongside James and Mount I'd be looking at extending his contract since he's a valuable asset. His dream like James, Mount, Trev and other academy boys is to play for Chelsea and win the EPL. That means something to me. I would be moving Ziyech and Werner before Pulisic, I would also move CHO before Pulisic.
June 5, 20224 yr He is very inconsistent but the potential is there and one we cannot sell imo, especially to a PL rival who play a 4-3-3 where Pulisic is best of imo. Some players, you have to remain patient with and he is one of them that I still believe can be a top player.
June 5, 20224 yr Pulisic is very talented and IMO miles better than Kalou, but he needs a team built around him in a roaming semi-free role like USA, Messi Argentina and last couple of years of Hazard at Chelsea. We currently do not play to his strengths at all. Unfortunately despite being very talented he is still nowhere near the talent of Messi or prime Hazard so not really going to succeed here under tuchel as we are clearly not going to build the team around him. June 5, 20224 yr Selling Pulisic to Liverpool would be the perfect transfer for us. We get a rubbish player off our books for far more than he's worth (he's a 5-10 million pound player with a very valuable passport) and we get to cripple a rival. I don't see the talent at all, he's an objectively awful footballer who isn't good enough to be labelled inconsistent. I've watched him for 5 years or so and still have no idea what he actually does well. 15 or so good games across 7 years in a club career spanning over 200 games isn't inconsistent. It's flat out bad regardless of how often his patriots share them. He suits Liverpools system perfectly but he's nowhere near good enough to play at the highest level and would be a massive drop in quality for them going from Mane to Pulisic. People are fearing this will be another Salah or KDB situation but they had both shown a lot more before signing for us and after we sold them before they ended up at their current clubs. KDB even looked better in his short time here than Pulisic. Pulisic is much closer to Scott Sinclair or Schurrle than either of those 2. Edited June 5, 20224 yr by HazardousChoice
