August 30, 20223 yr Sick of people talking about his playing time. He's had far far more minutes this season than he's ever deserved. Edited August 30, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice
August 30, 20223 yr It's baffling to me that we've let a genuinely intelligent and talented footballer like Callum Hudson-Odoi go to Leverkusen on loan while we continue to employ Pulisic, who has not put in a competent performance for two years. I can only assume that we've essentially let him go to Germany to get his match fitness back. Honestly, bring back Ross Barkley, at least he did something.
August 30, 20223 yr Hes playing RWB though, like whats the point of that?. Can he not just play him LW?.

I'm honestly happy Hudson Odoi is being loaned, at least he'll get some some game time there rather than being benched in favour of these clowns
August 30, 20223 yr He made no impact on the game today. Gave the ball away consistently and couldn't seem to take players on and beat them. Certainly didn't make a case to get a start any time soon.

Don't let Pulisic looking like Carlton Palmer trying to play on the wing make you believe Odoi was a talent! Odoi will see out his career at Middlesbrough making occasional appearances off the bench.

Should actually be the one on loan to Leverkusen instead of Callum. The state we‘re in: having to completely improvise our midfield from the second game on, Azpi getting way too many minutes already, RLC has to play RWB because James has to play CB or is already injured again and with Havertz and Mount 2/3 of our forwards are dysfunctional atm and Ziyech should be gone already yet is a starter and Pulisic is one Sterling injury away from being a starter as well yet should hardly be on the bench in this form. Oh, and then there is Mendy.. I enjoy watching Broja though. 😄 will become better in 3-5 games I guess when the new guys settled a bit and our squad for this season is kinda sorted but alas, what an encouraging start into the season we have.
August 30, 20223 yr Its astonishing how much hate a player who gets relatively zero game time can get. How do lose a match in which hes shoved on for the last 20 minutes and his thread is the nost active. I am not defending him btw or saying hes the answer. But the guy hasent had a single full match. How can you build up confidence or match fitness coming on for a few minutes at a time. He wasent great when he came on but we were desperate at that point. Let him play a few games and then we can judge him fairly. For now all of our criticism should be for the players starting the last 5 games and doing absolutely nothing. Not constantly taking our frustrations out for losing on the players who dont play.

He's played 247 club career games and been the worst player or one of the worst players on the pitch in almost all of them. He's not a 16 year old kid. We've all seen enough of Christian Pulisic. And he is nowhere near good enough to play at premier league level. Edited August 30, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice

August 30, 20223 yr Let him go Todd. He wants to go, and TT clearly does not rate him so why keep him?
August 30, 20223 yr Sad, I actually had him marked as the next Hazard like player where he is the trump card and would dig us out of situations like this, where it didn't really matter what manager or formation we used he could be the difference. He's just too soft mentally and not a self starter, his top form came from being a caged beast unleashed after Lamps left him out too long.

His top form came when the defenders weren't match fit, hadn't trained together in months and hadn't had any time to work on their shape and systems as the games started suddenly and came every 3 games. Perfect for Pulisic to Hero ball his way through defences that just weren't sharp enough to close the gaps before his direct style of play took him past them. Aside from that he's never really troubled any settled backline in his entire 8 year career. He's direct and agressive but most defenders just easily deal with him because he's so weak and not a very good dribbler, he's not a good passer or finisher either so he very rarely troubles defences.
August 30, 20223 yr His top form came when there was no fans in the stadium. Clearly can’t perform when there is any form of pressure. He just runs into blind alleys then falls over, constantly. If he wants to leave he should go. Weak physically and mentally and isn’t a game changer IMO, can’t think of any reason to keep him.

But do remember that Mount and Havertz had play almost 800 minutes together this season with ZERO goal and ZERO assist.

August 30, 20223 yr What I would like to know if this is a one time thing for him, or if he had previously gone to the traveling supporters like the other players after a match ended. Does anyone know? If this is a new thing, then I would say Yes, his soul has left Chelsea. If this is not a new thing for him, then maybe not.
August 30, 20223 yr Can't believe how poor he was when he came on. If we don't get a couple of attackers in by Thursday our season could end very badly
