Stepping back, what an embarrassment.  5 consecutive domestic cup final defeats, scoring 1 goal in 5 games.  I know thats not all Clearlake, but it ain't getting any better!

So I heard this one a Chelsea fan channel so cannot confirm if it is true but apparently Pochettino snubbed shaking Todd's hand after the game.

It is said to have happened when Poch went up for the loser medal. He shook Eghbalis hand and then completely ignored Todd and his handshake.

Did anyone else see this to confirm it? 

If true certainly would show a desire to get sacked lol.

Looks more like Poch didn't see Todd than a deliberate snub though

Just adds to those rumours that the ownership is split on how to run things, with Todd wanting one way and Eghbali another.

I think people have been very optimistic calling us Spursy. I think we’re well on course to become Leedsy.

They operate on hypotheticals. 

The thing that hurts the most is the lack of pride in our performances. It's just humiliation after humiliation and then they turn up for one game and think everything is okay again. 

I've been blessed to see so many Chelsea teams play with pride since I became a fan. Watching the likes of Wise, Zola, Desailly, Vialli etc in my early years, and then watching a young John Terry come through the ranks epitomising everything it meant to be Chelsea. They weren't winning trophies every year, but most players would give everything they had for the shirt, and all of that stuck with the club in the Abramovich era, even if things were a bit up and down at times.

This new era with these new owners feels like it's taken the Chelsea out of Chelsea football club. There's no pride anymore, only a few on that pitch seems to really care about Chelsea. The fans feel it too, we all feel that disconnect that wasn't there before. It's nothing to do with not being amongst the top dogs and being a bunch of glory hunters, we just don't see Chelsea football club anymore. The worst part is that it's not even been two full years under this new ownership. The amount of damage they have done in such a short period is unbelievable.

Last summer we had a genuine chance to fix the club. After one year of failure the owners had the chance to look at themselves and reflect maybe we don't know what we're doing and we should get in world class employees in the right departments to run the business for us.

Both Naagelsman and Enrique were keen on the job despite our poor previous season. Both wanted to sign experience and more specifically quality players. Both were rumoured to want new starting wingers and a proper striker, but the owners were adamant Mudruk and Madeuek were the future and we didn't want to ruin their development. What development? Who are they learning from? Every world class team need world class players they don't just grow overnight.

The naivety to believe we can compete in the short and long term without proven quality and experience is beyond negligent its arrogant. They know nothing about our sport and continue to get everything wrong, but hide behind terms like project and scapegoats like players and coaches. 

I said it before I will say it again, all you have to do is look at our women's team to see the difference. Compare them to the men's team. The women's team continues to sign proven players, they stuck with the world class manager and didn't uproot the culture of the team. Why start with the men's team for such radical change surely they should have bought their little French team and tried that as their special young obsession project and then brought the players through to the parent club.

In football in my personal opinion success is fundamentally down to one thing efficency. Nothing we are doing from top to bottom is efficient. Poor sporting directors, poor players, poor manager and poor ownership. We have wasted £1bn in the least efficient fashion I have ever seen. If you were to give £1bn to almost any proper club with a structure you would see them rise to the top of the world game. Give it to a purely structured club and you will see them destabilise and plummet. 

Abramovich's last season we finished 3rd, Tuchel's last season (as short as it was) he had us in 6th (and ofc his last full season 3rd) after 4 games at the very minimum that is par for a top 6 club. This ownership have had us 12th after one season and 11th mid way through their second. Pochettino says it wasn't him who finished 12th last season but Chelsea fc. Well he has us in 11th right now so what improvements has he brought for the price of £10m per annum (his current wage).

What are we doing efficiently right now can anybody say or see anything?

This! I keep harping on about it. They are so arrogant and naive at same time to think that world star players just grow from a mediocre team due to coaching. 

Who are the names in the team they are aspiring to be like to push themselves to just measure up , not even excel or exceed them?

I really would like to know how they came up with this blueprint on how to revamp a successful team by destroying it and putting in place "toddlers" in the industry without any big brothers to guide them.

And it's not a strategy borne out of a lets tighten the belt situation. You blow a billion quid on this crap? You should be jailed for mismanagement.

It's only not funny because it's the club I support. Any other and i'll have the bucket of freshly popped corn out and be laughing myself off my seat.

It will be interesting to see whether they still believe in a “project” based approach. If they sack Poch then I think we can say they don’t. They shouldn’t signed such raw players if they aren’t prepared to cope with these bumps. 
 

Klopp lost 5 finals in a row. These bad moments will happen with young players and “projects”. We’re not used to it. 
 

Yesterday will be considered an embarrassment from the owners perspective. Everyone is laughing at them and the club. Pointing the finger at them and wasting £1Bn. I can’t imagine them being happy in the slightest.

Apart from the staggering number of players involved what stands out is that a lot of EPL experienced players including lots of actual trophy winners left for free or a pittance. I’d be lying if I said I knew why but likely a strategy to lower wage bill and free up squad places. the second thing that struck me is that a lot of the players coming in have zero experience in any of the other so called top European leagues (Bundersleague, La Liga, Scudetto, Ligue 1, Portugal & Championship) and not much experience elsewhere. Then the fees paid for a few were outrageously inflated over their actual worth In juxtaposition to selling some experienced players for sweet FA. There’s probably other patterns as well, and I’ll begrudgingly give Clearfake limited praise for unloading and loaning a fair few turkeys with the exception of  Malang Sarr whose trousering 130K quid weekly for working out for free on a daily basis.

Astonishing if true. Presumably he feels that his expertise in FIFA 2024 qualifies him for the position ;). What could possibly go wrong?

Funny how FFP becomes an issue after each defeat. Whenever we go on a decent run (I know, rare occasions) all this talk tones down.
The thing that gets clicks this week is Chelsea's misery, let's make sure to pile up as many clicks as we can until it's someone else's turn to be miserable.

Nkunku is injured again. My biggest criticism of the owners by far is the money paid for players so injured they miss the entire season or more.

When you think about it, that was the appointment Potter should have had all along really ... it would have been right up his street. 

Just training players in the club system, team ballet lessons, etc etc, with results and scoring of goals of secondary importance ... pretty much Potters DNA !

A lot of it is speculative at the moment but certainly something to keep an eye on. If we really do need to raise these funds by end June it will be pretty obvious as we get towards the end of the season.
