Should be available against Arsenal too. Perfect timing.

Jinx.

Reinjured himself and is now training alone. Won't be available this weekend.

Malo Gusto looking like the best signing we made in years.

Sadly looking like a Darren Anderton these days. Just unable to be available which is the most basic prerequisite for any athlete.

It seems as soon as he pushes closer to 100% exertion his body refuses to go with him. Real shame.

Agree on Gusto comment.

Nowhere near the England starting XI or best RB in the world if he can't even get a run of games. Can see another RB being bought within the next 2 years if he doesn't improve.

Apparently he has missed 1 and a half of the past 4 years with injuries.

As one of the club's top earners I wonder if the owners will soon start looking at him as they did Kante, a player they are willing to keep but not break the bank for.

Honestly, we need to think about selling him in the summer while his price would still be reasonably high. Unless he can turn it around, we will be paying him 200k+ a week to play about 10 games a season, of which he might be fully fit for about 2.

He is also a pure profit player, we know the owners like those, and even this summer Real were said to want Reece.

Selling him would be silly. We are not playing Tuchel ball anymore.

With Gusto, and even now Cucurella, we have the fortune of allowing Reece to finally rehabilitate properly. We also no longer have a manager that amplifies all of our attack/creativity through our wingbacks and we no longer have Azpilicueta as our only RB option which forced our hand to rush James back in.

If the medical team feel he can sort this out in the long term, it will prolong his career and James will inevitably be quality even in his 30's. This whole thing reminds me of Kyle Walker and his early groin/hip issues.

I can’t recall but what was his injury record during the Wigan loan like?

Although I think Reece’s bodytype is definitely a contributing factor this surely falls on our medical department who seem unable to get prone players properly rehabilitated and structured after.

Wasn’t the rumour saying he was training on his own and won’t be fit for the Arsenal game anyway, so that picture doesn’t really point at anything different.

Exactly. Hopefully the club is better super cautious with him and he finally comes back free of these type of injuries.

Fair enough if  he gets injured because of a bad foul or fall, but these strains and sprains need to stop happening with him.

Cannot have the club captain missing so much game time because of injury.

Apparently team training photo.

I think Branislav Ivanovic had a bulkier body type but he wasnt as injury prone.

The issue being though that as yet there is no evidence to suggest our medical team are capable of rehabilitating any of our players back to a sustained level of fitness. In fact the reverse, we have seen 3 or 4 instances where players have either broken down or picked up additional injuries whilst under their care.

They've been here 1 year.

Played 45 league games for Wigan in one season plus one cup game.
