I think Frank coming to Chelsea is all but done but I wouldn't rule out us being linked with Enrique before long. That's the key word. His daughter is sick... (Hope for a speedy recovery) That's why he's stepping down. No way he'll be back in management any time soon.

I doubt it, the whole reason he's quit is personal reasons have rendered him unable to do his job and that was at International level.
June 19, 20197 yr Just going on the record here to say I’m all in favor of Lampard. Experience is good but overrated. I think he’s got the rare combination of intelligence and personality to become a world class manager. If anyone can break the cycle of up-down-system change-sack-hire then it’s Frank Lampard. Why? Can’t say for sure. Gut instinct plus a close watch of the way Derby played and the way the fans there treated him. My feeling is that Chelsea have won in recent years DESPITE the madness. I’d love it if we could win BECAUSE of a rational plan. Also: to everyone who says we wouldn’t hire him if he weren’t a club legend. Of course You’re right. That’s part of the appeal. He scored 200 against... Anyway ... sign him up

June 24, 20197 yr Lampard, inexperienced and going to cost £4M vs Benitez, hugely experienced, and free ... you can almost see the brain cells of our board chugging away here ....

June 24, 20197 yr Lamps still 1/10 on skybet ... I'm sure FSW coming down from 25/1 to 5-1 is merely a bookmakers exercise in separating a few chancers from their cash !

Well we had Sarriball, and we were hoping for Frankieball, got a nasty feeling the board might be going for fattyball. The FSW is waiting in the wings
June 24, 20197 yr He’s at 4/1 now and Frank back to 1/10. I’m sure our board can’t be this mad but if it turns out to be true I may be hibernating from football until Euro 2020! Edit. Frank now 1/8 ? Edited June 24, 20197 yr by DukesOfHazard
June 24, 20197 yr Our macabre board going for another fsw interim season ? They wouldn't would they ?
June 24, 20197 yr After the huge split in the fan base this season surely the club wouldn't be stupid enough to appoint Rafa and do it all over again.

June 24, 20197 yr If we hire Rafa again, instead of Frank, i'm done. Honestly, I'll start following Chelsea Ladies instead. That said, surely our board aren't so stupid to actually do it.... ......... ?

To me, it's more likely Spain hire him as Enrique's replacement.
