Jose would only take it if the takeover goes through. He's like Pep, he doesn't work with small budgets.

But he moved to PSG for €222m and it's rumoured it will cost the same again to move back to Barca bringing his total transfer fees up to around the half a billion mark and that's before wages. 

For a player so injury prone is he really worth it?

No, he's not worth it. It's not just the injury problems either, he's somebody that causes problems off the field and falls out with his team mates too. He's an asshole basically, I still can't believe he didn't get a longer ban for punching that fan in the face a few months back.

I think Neymar's nationality might cause people to overrate him a bit. When I was growing up the best player in Brazil often also meant the best player in the world. Neymar may be Brazil's 'star' player at the moment but that doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to.

Well that would be interesting, I think of AC Milan can get banned and certainly think Manchester city can, granted they have some clever accounts at City let's see if they can either outsmart Uefa or pay more money than AC Milan to not get banned.

Wan-Bissaka has gone to United, Zaha seems to be on his way this season. The Palace fans at work are spiralling in to depression. Without some shrewd work in the transfer market I think they’ll go down this season. 

Palace seem to have acquired a few useful players though that luck can always run out.

I'm interested to see where Zaha will end up, his latest outburst in the media about wanting to play for Arsenal should seal his fate at Palace yet stranger things have happened.

Can’t see him moving though; no one is paying £80m for Zaha even in this crazy market. Utd have a sell on clause think it’s 20% or 25% that Palace wanted them to drop as a prerequisite for Wan Bissaka moving but with no success. He signed a 5yr contract last year so he might be there for a while.

Agree on the £80m figure though £70m with a sell-on clause might work, the question is who would take a punt on him.

I don't think any of the top 6 will unless they need a panic buy come late July or August due to injury of key players in training or friendlies.

 

Another person of interest is Maguire if the media are accurate with a tug of war between Utd and City.

If true one of the more interesting transfer stories.

Sounds like the kind of aimless signing we would have made without the ban in place. Arsenal want him but can’t afford him, Utd need a RW and even though they are buying British they have balked at his price and Dortmund were interested but signed Brandt & Hazard For way under his value.

I can’t see what others are seeing, and I feel he is overrated. Continental teams will  be laughing their heads off at some of these prices been thrown around.

We all know Utd have been weak defensively last season and City losing confidence in John Stones and with Kompany going see the need for a decent CB with EPL knowledge. 

I've read he prefers Utd yet City have offered more cash.

I agree. They also gave Phil Jones a contract until 2023 ( ? ), and Jesse Lingard £100k not too long ago. Alexis Sanchez is on £350k and is rarely playing. If United can't think of better players to give their wages to, then they won't be competing with the top again any time soon.

Rashford on £200k a week is crazy money. He only scored 10 PL goals last season and 5,5,7 before that. 

Though United fans might CHO signing an £100k per week deal is also crazy. 

Barcelona were reputedly interested in him and Utd are probably over protective due to potential fan backlash if he were to start knocking them in for fun for them.

Man Utd are paying Rashford on £200k a week !

That's seems to me to be crazy money.

Goodness I'm old enough to remember when £200,000 was a decent transfer fee for a player going to Man Utd !
