Mason Mount

Sad to see him leave. He lived his dream here and made it at the top table. In due course we will find out more as to why so many have looked to 'jump ship' , clearly something hasn't been right behind the scenes. Like Kai, I have to thank him for his contribution...they won't look good in Red!

Not sure how I feel about this one. He'll never be another Lamps and that's an unfair comparison, given how brilliant and consistent Frank was. Still, Mase is a very good player when in form and quite underrated in terms of his importance to the team.

Out of all the players on the way out, him and Kante are the only two I'd have rather kept. But at least Ngolo is old, very injury prone and was a free agent, anyway, so in the end it was probably for the best to part ways. I'm not sure it's the same for Mount.

Don't get me wrong, there are more talented players out there, probably even to be had for less money, but whether we we can actually identify them and bring them in, in order to upgrade Mount, remains to be seen.

Mixed feelings on this one. Always found him a frustrating player but at the same time, a hard and solid player.

I hope the club haven’t just based this whole situation on the money being offered and looked at the wider picture.

Not too sure why we didn't go for MacAllister or Maddison. MacAllister was only 35m and Maddison was only 40m, we would've made a profit, and both of those two are arguably upgrades on Mount anyway.

Agreement reached with Utd, 60m.

Pending medical, then looks like he's gone.

This one hurts. No idea what have been offered or why relations seemingly broke down, but seeing him in red will not be a pleasant sight. At least we’ll have no problems with FFP now, and can get on with the rebuild

Thanks for the memories, Mase

He looks a bit like Becks in a United top.

Mount plays it through to Havertz. We win the CL. Tuchel goes crazy.

2 years later. Only Silva, James and Chilwell left.

What the f**k happened.

Club changed mate. New owners have very different methods than Roman did.

How much is this " very very good" offer that the club have put to Mount ? ( Keep in mind we're talking about ridiculous amounts anyway)

They offered him a lot of money and the club did not want him to leave. Why would they want him to leave? Think about it. It just does not make sense that the club would want him to leave. . .HE wanted to leave.  . . .and now he has left.

I guess we should sign that kid from Celta Vigo.

We should ask them that question, what happened to them two? Why didn't they get any better after the Champions League win?

So many questions, how this season even happened in the first place is a mystery to me.
