We shouldn't judge Mount on his performances for Potter until now. Maybe things are turning around a bit now but it's been a terrible mess until now and everyone have suffered. Imagine losing Mount to Liverpool and he kicks on again? Don't think Boehly & Potter are going to hear the end of that one...

But on the flip side, what if we give him that new deal and it turns out he's got Oscar/Dele Alli esque burnout?

What's been worrying me lately is we're not even getting what he's suppose to be elite at (pressing and energy), Gallagher's cameos vs Dortmund and Leicester have only served to reinforce that point.

Hope Chalobah stays, if we're playing 3-4-3 then he's a good back up to Fofana

Seems the club feel that an appropriate offer is on the table for Mount which he refuses to sign. Decisions like this do take time when you are 24 years old so it'll be interesting to see what unfolds in the next weeks.

I will be gutted if he goes,I don't mind admitting it.Suppose all I can do is to keep my fingers crossed and hope there is a break though at some point.

That twitter account is hilarious. Realistically though where does Mount fit in this team? If we can get over £50m with a year left on his contract we should just take it.

No

It would be nice for him to stay to keep a hold of our identity but if he's refusing the lucrative offer being reported than I wouldn't blame the club for holding firm.

Don't think we need Mount to stay for that, our new era identity is forming quite nicely with or without him.

I have a feeling he has already had indirect talks with his next club, and their manager, and likes the role and contract they have put to him. Why I feel he is turning down the offers we have made, already has his mind set elsewhere.

If he doesn't want to sign the contract we have offered then the path needs to be very clear.

Sell in the summer whilst he still has value and drop him to the reserves until he is sold. 

There is no point in utilising players who don't want to be here, as we try to form our new identity. I feel the same for Ziyech.

Well if we are going to insist on a squad of 25+ next season then at least 8 of that squad need to be home grown. 

At some point any HG player we sell has to be replaced with one. And we haven't been linked with many HG players, so I'm guessing we can't get rid of everyone.

Keeping a hold of our successful club products amidst all this spending was what I meant. 

I don’t see the fuss we will have more academy products coming through especially if Potter stays. He wants to be the main man and that will never be the case especially under this new ownership he is not the player you build around but I think he wants to be. 
He’s also seen Reece move clear of him especially in terms of importance to the club and for me I would be bricking it if Reece was the one we are struggling with for a new contract. Mounts a good squad player but will be start in any of the top teams around Europe absolutely not.
