i think he has played more out wide as an inside forward either on the right or left.. but occassionally comes inside to occupy the 10 poisition ...

i dont think he can dribble past people or beat them for pace and hence i think he will be better suited playing centrally.

To be sure the Mount we saw score those what? 7 in 6 is the Mount that was at Vitesse and Derby and the Mount he is capable if being.

He was not called Frank's son just cause Frank played him, but that he has potential to score double figures every season.

He should be doing that, he should be a worry to every opponent we face. He is good enough to do so. So is Havertz, they just really need to step it up. 

He’s central to our style because of his pressing and energy. He’s also scored 7 goals. He’s been playing a lot of consecutive games and that will make him less effective, but he’s still a very important player for our team and one any top team will not want to face. I’m not sure which player can anyone prefer over him.

He’s only just turned 23, his surrogate father Frank Lampard started becoming consistent at 25ish I believe. I also have it on good authority that all his mistakes are down being distract by Jorginho’s wayward pointing and firmly believe the latter should be sold immediately. Jorginho only plays because he's Sarri's son and Mount because he's Frankie's son. In order to eliminate this problem we must build a fully synthetic player that isn't a son to nobody. Till then it's a must to sell the older son first, keep the youngling Mason.

I'm not surprised he was left out today as against Spurs in midweek, he put in one of his worst ever performances and looked out of sorts.

That said, an out of sorts Mount is still a whole lot better than Ziyech and Pulicic!

He did more in 10 minutes than our forwards did all game. Running, pressing, trying to get the ball back. 

The rest of the game lukaku pulisic and ziyech were letting their defenders pass and start attacks with ease.

Hopefully he starts tonight v Brighton.

When he plays like tonight he's a problem. We can't be overly sentimental just because he's a Chelsea product.

Playing right behind the striker but seemingly doesn't have a creative bone in his body. Or the ability to beat a man because he did neither tonight and he's not done it for a long time either.

Sentiment has nothing to do with it, he has the most G/A this season. He’s our best attacker by miles.

I don’t think he could have done much tonight, not with that lump of sh*te and Odoi being Odoi.

He has been our best attacker since Tuchel came in but he’s not above criticism. Can’t be shifting the blame onto the others as Mount himself has been poor for a few weeks now.

I agree with that, but he still is our most effective attacker this season stat wise, which is why I wasn’t having any of that sentiment talk. He has 12 G/A this season, which is more than anyone else and the whole City squad. Clearly he is doing something right.

Mason is not Mason at the moment, because the performance was not him. He was a complete lightweight, a passenger.
