Mason shutting the Leeds supporters up today.😀

Not for the first time, he did the same when he scored at Elland Road in the play offs for Derby.

Head to 2:40

Nice to see him becoming clinical infront of goal.

His finishing of late has been much improved.

Hopefully this is the start of him becoming a reliable scorer.

I feel if as much of one out of Mount, CHO, Werner and Kai start scoring reguarly we can start enjoying what the others bring a lot more without stressing over their goal stats.

Cheers, had forgotten about that game. Nice to watch .😀

He's suddenly our most consistent player. He just needed a little break and he's up and running. But I'm afraid he'll need some help in the near future.

Yes it has and you and @Munkworth are welcome 😉

We need someone to be. Overall his game was not good today but he did score our only goal from open play. If any of the front 3 survives for Everton should be him. Would be a joke if Havertz and Timo stay ahead of Ziyech, CHO, CP and Lukaku after how bad they were.

I would keep Kai in purely because of the fluidity when he's false 9.

I do agree we should replace Werner for this one (even if he was on form I'd have doubts he was the correct selection to face a Benitez bus) I think you know who gets my vote 😉

I don't think we were particularly fluid today Argo. I think if we set bias aside we would say Havertz put in a very Lukaku like display. He ran more than rom would have but it was useless running, no end product and then he was very weak on the ball.

And aye we know who you want in 😉

Gallagher scored today.. would be interesting when (not if) he comes back.

would you pick him over mount. The only problem is he plays better as a 10 and in our system we don’t play one. Maybe mount would also be more prolific if played as a 10.

What used to annoy me the most about Mount in his first season here, was his wastefulness with the ball. He used to be unable to protect the ball under pressure. Then last season his former weakness suddenly turned into one of his biggest strenghts. He was by far our best forward player when receiving the ball in tight spaces and was really good at turning people when he was being pressed.

This season, unfortunately he seems to have reverted back to his former self in this regard. He's very frustrating in possession at the moment. Well, at least he's being more decisive than he was before.

I think it's gone a bit under the radar as we've had more pressing issues. But for his standards i'd consider his season poor so far. Alright, he's scored seven goals but 3 of those came v the worst Premier League side in history. In his other 26 appearances he's produced four goals and three open play assists.

We need a lot more than that from him in terms of goals and assists. Also think his general play has suffered greatly and i'm seeing very little in terms of creativity and taking opponents on at the moment.

& therein lies the problem. For a guaranteed starter he has gone under the radar, and when he has a bad game fans praise his pressing and energy. Thing is we never praise Werner for his pressing but point out his obvious flaws.

His underlying stats are appalling though; last night 1 accurate cross out of 10, attempted Zero long balls, and didn’t take on any player. I can’t blame him though and still insist he is playing in the wrong position further upfield.

Yes we do, most level headed fans want Werner to start because its clear his runs make space for the other attackers.

You may be seeing little in terms of creativity but he's creating the second most chances per 90 behind only CHO. The standards Mount has set for himself as our most important player means 7 goals and 6 assists in considered a poor season after 1 or 2 average performances.
