They tried to stop him but he wasn’t for letting them, you don’t want a big barmy on the pitch so they let him take it

Azpilicueta isn't a leader, he never has been since the Kepa incident. 

 

Not great tonight, 1-1 would have been fair but we probably didn't deserve the pen. This will be quickly forgotten if we do a job on Sunday. Still 5 games to make up for it in the CL.

Nearly every club uses their top scorer to take penalties, all the top clubs anyway, why do we have a plethora of penalty takers, when none of them are in the habit of scoring goals in normal play.

Barkley is a decent pen taker and you don't want to fight or delay, they go in or not can't really do much in this situation. Barkley will be off the list from now though

Lamps has to take the strongest possible stance on this. If he’s not designated to take the penalties, he has absolutely no right to be taking that. It’s not like he said Tammy and has scored 7 in 3, he can’t even get in the team because he’s sh*te whenever he plays outside of pre-season.

I actually wouldn't be against dropping out the group into the EL.
