With our current defence I'll always be pessimistic, especially if Zouma is at the back.

However, I'm confident on just about everything else, I think we will win.

Had Zouma as my MOTD against Lille during the week.

Personally stunned by posters who were always happy to see Luiz in our back four and yet say Zouma is not good enough?

MOTD??? Tomori was far better besides the two stupid mistakes he made at the end.

Zouma has been our worst performer this season imo, one of the few negatives I can pick out of the team, not Chelsea material. At least with Luiz you got some good distribution.

With Spurs in a tailspin and Leicester losing, this is one of those games we really need to win in the top 4 race.

Too often in the last couple of years we haven't taken advantage of these games when our rivals lose.

Win tonight on the back of an away win in Europe and we can go in to the international break on a high.

433 - Kepa, Dave, Andreas, Tomori, Alonso, Jorginho, Kovacic, Kante, Pedro, Willian and Tammy.

Willy, James, Zouma, Mount, CHO, Giroud, Michy

Two stupid mistakes at the end.

Which is one of the reasons I rated Zouma higher.

Luiz good distribution..... ????? He was in the team to defend!!!!!

Always a tough away match even when the team was fully stacked w Haz & Costa. Hope they’ve been coaching the zonal marking at the back.

Seems everyone is fit and available except RLC

looking forward to another entertaining match with goals probably at both ends.

Yeah some folks have become so obsessed with Pepball they've forgotten that the first duty of a centre back/goalkeeper is to wait for it.... Stop the other team scoring goals ie. Defending.

Passing is a nice extra but it does not replace defending.

1 clean sheet all season. Do not expect to see that doubled here. We will have to outscore them. Need tammy to be firing to get a win imo

You're probably right. Tell you what it feels good to outscore teams but I reckon the old way of keeping a clean sheet and scoring the odd goal was better for the nerves!

There has to be some rotations, expect a back 4, probably put Mount in the midfield and play CHO or Pullisc, No Pedro please. On paper, we should win comfortably, with respect Southampton looked pretty ordinary at both end of the fields. But, still expect a tough game, and set pieces are killing us every week, only take 1 or 2 for them to capitalize on us.

Can only see your lot winning by at least 2.

Still there's always a result or two you don't expect. Fingers crossed!

Very true. like Norwich beating City and Brighton beating Spuds !

Let’s hope not too many our end. As you say though it should be an entertaining game.

This game is a massive potential banana skin, off the back of a european away game, against a saints team that have been unlucky to get just a point from their ganes against liverpool, united, and spurs.

On the flip side, we have a fantastic record at st mary's.

I think it will be tight, and we will need to be clinical to get 3 points.

im going 1 nil.
