We're looking to be in for him with Everton as competition. Gotta be honest I hadn't really heard of him before this rumour surfaced, but apparently he won an award for being the best LB in la liga last season which really says something.

I wouldn't mind going for him at the given price point, but it seems too cheap to be true? 18m for someone who just had an apparent stellar season...

Owned by Real Madrid who have Mendy at LB for the next decade. Reports saying Everton have bid £18m, seems strange when they already have Digne. Does this mean Digne is on the move?

Forgot about Mendy, he seems essentially a nailed on starter at this point.

If Alonso AND Emerson are looking to go, does that mean we're going for 2 new LB's as well? Reguilon and Tagliafico may be a great 2 LB combo

More likely we sign either Reguilon or Tagliafico and Gosens, imo. Gosens would be as close to a like for like replacement for Alonso as we're likely to find.

Sign a LB and bring Juan Castillo back. We've then got New LB/Azpi/Castillo all to cover at LB. 

Reguilon is an interesting alternative. Very attacking left back and also very good at getting beyond the final man and putting in those low crosses. 

Only q I would have about him in England is the height/physicality side defensively. Same question as I have about Tagliafico. 

For me I think Alonso should stay, he is excellent in a three and gives us options. But if the fee is right Reguilon would be a handy signing for the back four.  Glad to see us linked with him and with Digne as well who I think might just be the best of the bunch.

Dont rate Gosens as high as the other 2 in all honesty.

Do you rate Tagliafico/Reguilon higher than Gosens as a wing back? It's perhaps worth bearing in mind that Alonso is 30 in December.

Well Tagliafico is our defensive option, but based on some research ive been doing Reguilon looks good attacking

I think this makes far more sense than Chilwell. He must’ve done something right to be voted the best of 20+ LB’s in the entire Spanish League. I doubt there’d be a player in the entire Premier League best 11 you could get for less than £40m so financially it seems to stack up.

Looks like the talks are in quite advanced stages as well, definitely excited for this one and very happy we aren't going for a massively overpriced and overrated Chilwell

Been saying for a while that he's massively overrated and worth nowhere near 80m. Im hoping he never plays for us

Certainly seems to be one that's flown under the radar, but given his stats, how he was on loan at Sevilla after Real signed Mendy, and while on loan he excelled, it makes it an interesting option.  

I'm not sold on Chilwell at all, and Reguilon seems to have Ben pipped in all stats (for what they are worth).  I truly believe that Chilwell's price is seriously inflated because of him being English; again, nothing we need to worry about given the number of lads we have in our team.

Heres hoping this guy will be the next bargain Spanish fullback after Dave and if he has half the impact Azpi did then we'll have a good player.

Well... Pretty obvious that this post only shows the categories that Reguilon is better at. But there are some fairly important stats in there and I like the look of the spaniard, so I'm all for this, especially considering the price.

He reminds me of Ashley Cole but more physical!
