I’m not sure it’s that, I think he needs to be nearer Giroud because he’s getting the ball with his back to goal but tends to have only 1 pass on. His movement is good enough to cause problems for a deep defence.

Lampard needs to find his back 4 and stick with it, let them build some chemistry together.

Right now, that back 4 are:

Chillwell-----Zouma-----Silva----Azpi

James is not ready for a starting EPL RB full time. He can start some games to rest Azpi as needed.

Tomori will replace Silva when he needs rest, or not performing well.
