Good coaching is about finding a system which suits the players you have. Bad coaching is sticking to your preferred system despite whose available. No plan A and no plan B. Lots of crosses into the box tonight with our most dangerous player in the air sitting on the bench. Doesnt seem right. Lampard shouldn't be afraid to try something new if it isnt working.

Lampard is a genius got Derby to the championship playoff

Despite the loss, we can take a lot of positives from this match.

I'll get back to you when I've thought up something.

If only Arsenal had 2 or 3 players sent off in the first 5 minutes, then we would have won. Bad luck. Just unlucky. Otherwise no problems whatsoever, everything is rosy. Those who think it has been a sh*t shower are just plastic fans and deserve ridicule and contempt.

I wish I could write off today’s performance as just a bad day at the office but the way the team has been playing since ziyech got injured has been building up to a result like this. Even our 3-0 win last weekend despite being convincing, papered over the cracks of us not being able to penetrate as much as we did earlier in the season. Frank needs to sort out the attack quickly otherwise Roman won’t hesitate to pull the trigger with him having only half a season left on his contract.

CHO at least looked bright.

Lampard doesn't rate him. I dont care what he says to reporters.  Hes a proper winger with talent.

Not good enough.  No balance, no identity, no rhythm, no shots, no urgency, no motivation, no fight.

Lampard owns this defeat.  Keeps playing strikers left wing and god knows what else.  I want to see him say this is on me.  He spent all week talking up how good Arsenal are.  How about a little time on Chelsea Frank, and what we can bring to the game.

One of the most cowardly performances I have ever seen from Chelsea.

I said before the game this felt like a season decider. A win would have left us in a good spot and we could have kicked on from there...

I don't think it could have gone any worse in my worst nightmares.

CHO > Werner on the wing

Everyone is greater than Werner on the wing tbh. I’m sure even James and chilwell will do better there but somehow frank keeps starting him there and Werner doesn’t even look like he’s enjoying playing there.

Every coach would start havertz in the middle and werner up front. But somehow his love childs Mason and Tammy are untouchables.

Mount was one of the best players once again. Almost scored with a free-kick in the first minutes. Won the penalty. Tammy scored our only goal.

WHY would you come in here to criticize these two when many others have been worse?

Have you watched Havertz the last few games ??  I thought Timo was playing much better then Kai and Timos been awful.

Lampard had a chance to build his team around Havertz and Werner.

At the start of the season after the first few games he changed his mind and instead focused to find the place for Mount and Kante while giving Tammy the chance to be our leading striker.

It's too late now, Werner will keep playing as a winger and Havertz will keep being on the bench, unless Lampard comes to his senses.

we deserved nothing from that game, a pitiful performance - with only 48 hours before Villa, I'm worried about that one too

Getting a draw at best before losing against City...
