That’s absurd. The entire rule was introduced so that the attacker didn’t get the advantage. Werner got zero advantage from his elbow being further than Robertsons. Absolute shambles. The English FA might be one of the worst in the world given the money and technology they have.

We've looked alright here but Ziyech is a passenger again. Doesn't look like he can be arsed at all.

He's just not an off the ball player. The defensive side of his game is poor, but we knew that when we bought him. I would rather focus on his on the ball game, but we can't get him on the ball at the moment.

There is a huuuge issue with how the technology is used. I've said before that the cricket approach where there is a benefit of the doubt given to the on field decision is much better. 

The law is probably 150 years old and was designed to stop someone gaining an advantage. An arm hanging a mm offside is not an advantage in any sense.

To add to the when is an arm a shoulder debate; Mane’s shoulder seems to be part of his face...

Yeah that as well, but in this case it seems VAR was used correctly to implement a nonsense rule.

My problem with Var is not the lines it’s how they determine when the ball leaves the foot. A fraction of a second makes all the difference and the forwards should be given the benefit of the doubt.
