By all accounts porto have two big players suspended for the 1st leg against chelsea . Are the gods slightly holding the CL fjnal door ajar for us 

That’s about as good a draw as we could have hoped for, not getting carried away but on paper it’s one of the best we could have gotten.

No easy games at this stage of the competition but avoiding PSG, Bayern and City is as much as you could hope for. 

You can never write off Real Madrid but they're still very reliant on their senior players (Ramos, Benzema, Modric) and you've got to think that like with Atletico you could catch them short. 

I think Dortmund probably was the easiest. Their defence is sh*t. But no complaints. Porto is close by second.

Largely agree with this. 

Well this is probably the draw we would have chosen if given the option. Sets us up for a tasty semi-final too should we get through. We should under no circumstances get complacent though - any side that knocks out Juventus are no mugs.  

I was looking into this a couple of days ago - our record in Champions League quarter-finals is pretty decent. We've only actually been knocked out at that stage twice (once against Barça under Vialli and once against Man Utd under Ancelotti). Draws have [mostly] been favourable too - and when they haven't they've been pretty iconic matches (Demba Ba vs PSG in 2014, the 3-1 and 4-4 vs Liverpool in 2008, the Wayne Bridge game vs Arsenal in 2004, the 4-2 vs a between-generations Bayern in 2005). 

Can our loanee Malang Sarr play against us?

Yeah I was pretty relieved we didn’t have to face Haaland. He’s terrifying. 

Tough opponent, it's not going to be easy game but we can make it through.

I am stunned we got Porto. That Bayern PSG game means one less serious threat.

The draw gives us a fair chance to make the final. Porto are a good side but are average for this stage of the comp and should we progress neither Liverpool or real are anywhere near their best at the moment. 

538 odds on winning the CL pre-draw vs post-draw:

Manchester City: 37% -> 38%
Chelsea: 13% -> 18%
Bayern: 17% -> 15%
Liverpool: 11% -> 11%
Real Madrid: 11% -> 10%
PSG: 5% -> 4%
Dortmund: 5% - 4%
Porto: 1% -> 1%

I think we can't complain with that draw. Would take Porto all day long over the likes of bayern, psg or citeh. Come on TT, get us to the final. What a great feeling that would be!

Mehdi Teremi and Marcano. Teremi is their main ST and I think Marcano is their main CB alongside Pepe.

Teremi is suspended and Marcano is injured.

The Bayern odds surprise me despite the tougher side of the draw.

Cracking draw for us - about  bloody time we got a decent draw!

PSG vs Bayern also good. Let's also hope real knock Liverpool out and Dortmund knock out city.
