Harry Kane.

Footy 365 thinks Utd will offer Spurs, Martial and Lingard as a sweetener to landing Kane.

Perhaps they should offer Pogba that might do it.

The football fan likes the idea of Kane linking up with Fernandes, the CFC fan thinks we might be in trouble. Are there any nasty strikers out there that can score?

Perhaps Costa has a naughty cousin that scores for fun.

Buying Lukaku would mean being stuck with him for the foreseeable future. His sure to be huge contract plus enormous fee we'd have to part with will make sure of that. If there's a choice between signing Lukaku and staying put, I'd prefer to sign nobody and wait for somebody else. I think our fans are so frustrated with our struggles in front of goal, they're desperate for anyone to come and solve this issue. But signing Lukaku isn't the answer, he's a limited player with a shocking touch.

Also, how could he be PL proven and a United flop at the same time? I thought PL proven means he was a success. Otherwise we could say Morata is also PL proven, since he also used played in the PL.

I also don't think he's improved much, it's more of a case of looking good in a weak league. Apart from Juve, Serie A are a shadow of what it used to be.

Lukaku is PL proven as he has done the business with the likes of WB and Everton, he still scored 16 and 12 PL goals for Utd, flop is probably a harsh term. It comes down to buying a somewhat flawed yet seemingly top striker for the big bucks, or chancing on another player like Aguero who we don't know if he's done or not, he could end up being another Falcao, buying another player from Europe and possibly ending up with another Batshuayi or putting faith in Werner.

Giroud is going to leave for sure and Tammy is likely too, we need some goddamn strikers in here.

I agree about the need to sign strikers if both Tammy and Ollie leave, I just don't want us to to bring Lukaku because for the money we'll have to spend, he'll be expected to start. If he was a free agent I probably wouldn't mind him coming in as a squad option, but to lead the line, no way.

If we can't land a genuine world class forward in the summer, let's get someone like Ings for competition and hope Werner improves enough to add some scoring in his second season. I just hate the idea of commiting to the wrong players on long term contracts out of desperation.

Definitly going.

Whoever gets him will be favorites for the title. United would be if they do and we would if we somehow got him.

If we sign Kane we become the favorites for the title?

Well, it's not in our hands anyway, we'll just have to live with what the club decides on. You could have doubts over Haaland anyway being that he hasn't played in the PL, I mean I couldn't believe how Werner turned out for us so far.. then you have Kane who could be potentially injury prone and has not been effective in the big games, I watched all 3 finals he played in and he has been far from impressive, he's no Drogba that's for sure.

My money would be on him going to Manchester City.

With Aguero leaving and no other noticable weakness in their squad it looks all set up for him to sign for them.

I agree. He's looking to go where he's most likely to win trophies and City is the best bet at the moment.

I think just as much as we need Kane to improve we need to buy him just to stop our rivals from improving even more.  I think we've closed the gap slightly this year, but if Utd or City get Kane we're back to square one.

Also Skys constant bias to Utd is annoying why are they always mentioned first as serious contenders even though they couldn't afford Sancho last year?

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been in touch with Kane's representatives

Timo and Kane has all the potential to be just as good as Kane & Son, so that would be really interesting to see.

We should definitely go for it, but just can't get caught in the midst of a transfer saga that ruins our entire summer by delaying other potential targets.

I just can't see Levy dealing him to us, even if we're the last one in Earth with money + Kane probably wouldn't want to ruin his good national boy image by joining his rivals, would he?

Do you really think we have closed the gap? I think we are as far off as we were last season. We have conceded far less than last season, but we have also scored 14 goals fewer. We got to the final of the FA Cup last year and lost it, same again this season. The Champions League has been an improvement, but our fixtures have been a lot kinder compared to last season.

This group suffers the same mental weaknesses as last season. They are capable of turning up and putting in big performances, but too often they take their eye off the game, drop points at crucial moments and can't seem to get over the line in the biggest moments.

This deal has Manchester City written all over it.

If that's the case we go all in for Haaland and we're the winners on the long term.

I would yes but not by a lot.  I think there was a stat that said only City have got more points since Tuchel arrived so I think he has helped.  Mason has defiantly stepped up another level or 2 this season and I'm hoping some of the other players step up next year given that its the debut season for some including Tuchel.   But you're right the goals are not good enough, its the area we need to add to next season if we are to close the gap further, hence why Kane would be perfect for us.

Was about to include that in my post, but seeing Dortmund have made it to CL for the next season, I think he will stay there and Raiola will wait for that release clause to kick in next summer and basically start an auction for Haaland and redirect him to the club that pays Raiola the biggest agent fee. Of course he can do it this summer, too, but he will only have a few clubs to choose from, as opposed to the next summer when every single big club will surely trigger that release clause, hence more options for a fat pay.

But of course I would not mind if we somehow get him this summer, he is a true generational talent.

Would definitely buy him if the price is reasonable, no way we'd pay 150M for a 28 years old with a long injury history. I reckon all his suitors will be priced out, and that's on him, WTF sign a 6 years contract when you knew you club wont win anything, anytime soon

Don't see this happening. As far as Levy is concerned, selling Kane to Chelsea would be as bad as him burning down their stadium to Spurs Fans.

Save the cash and go for Haaland.
