Man City v Chelsea (PL) Sat 8th May 2021 17:30 GMT

TT eluded to the fact he will rotate, plus a days less rest. Leicester gave us a bit of breathing room as long as we don’t lose, I think we will have survived a tough fixture.

Think our reserves should be played for this tough game...city want the prem title...we dont want injuries....

I agree and that way pep wont gain any advantage or insight for the final

Somehow Leicester losing yesterday has made me feel all gung-ho. Dunno, maybe because we have a bit more breathing space to get it wrong.

f**k it. We are playing amazingly well. Everyone’s raised their level at the right time. Why do this strategic losing? Let’s win. Let’s have top 4 wrapped up by the end of next week.

If Man City don’t play full strength - better for us. If they do - it will give us useful experience for the CL final. I trust TT to learn more from it than Pep will.

I don't think Abraham is a good fit for this game, especially since we might not have the lungs to dominate the midfield today. Sending Werner over the top sounds much more promising. I think our best approach is to be compact, pack the area in front of our box and trouble City with counter attacks. This way we don't give anything away because our approach in the final will be much more aggressive

-----Pulisic--Werner--Ziyech-----

Alonso---Kanté--Gilmour--James

---Rüdiger----AC4----Zouma---

-------------Mendy-------------

As long as Pulisic starts I'll be happy, would also be nice to see Hakim get a start as well. They would need to justify the pick with their performances but I don't see why not. I'm going with Kai and Mount potentially getting a rest with Timo, Puli up top with Hakim behind. The mid 2 I'm not sure, Reece starts rwb for me with Alonso or Ben depending on how Chilly feels. Back 3 Silva and Cesar get a rest with Zouma partnering Rudi and Andreas. Mendy at the back for me. God speed for Kova's recovery we could do with him as soon as possible.

I definitely want us to win but i am more scared of Injuries and an accumulation of Fatigue. I STRONGLY BELEIVE IF WE HAVE A FULL SQUAD IN THE UCL FINAL WE WILL WIN THE CUP. Rotation is key to keep the whole squad Fit and focused. Will go for 7 changes from the Real Madrid game. Pep will defintely play a striker today even though we all know it will be a false 9 in the UCL final

                             Mendy

            Azpi       Zouma    Rudiger

 James     Gilmour    Jorginho      Alonso

               Ziyech                 Pulisic

                            Giroud

I have no clue how to lineup against city. There are so many factor to consider

There is fitness, we also don't want to show our hand.

Just play whoever fit I guess and try to get a draw.

Yes, the UCL makes this interesting and might determine how we line up today.

Perhaps a small change like playing CHO at RWB and starting with Ziyech.

Ah all the optimists on here who believe we can win a big game like this with Anthony Taylor in charge of it. Lol.

Worth considering backing the Anthony Taylor triple play special today, a pen for City, and Red card for us, and a win for City.

We certainly have a great chance! I don’t think Guardiola will be putting out a full strength team.

Dan mate did you miss the part about whole the ref is for the game? Same one that ensured a terrible Arsenal side beat us in 2 FA cup finals.

Also why would City rotate today?

Surely get the job done then use the last 3 games for rest.

Really no idea about the line up, but I think Tuchel is going to try to use his best one just because of the "psychological factor" involving these two teams. We've kicked them out of a Cup already and if they win today and lift the PL trophy after the match it would make it even (not counting the previous in the league) and I am sure Tuchel would like to deny City the chance to have the feeling of lifting a trophy against his team before another upcoming Final. At least that's how I see things. I may be wrong and he'll send all the players that have had less minutes in the past weeks, but sometimes the psychological things matter, too, sometimes it is better to have the better results over your opponent, especially before a CL Final.

They will definitely rotate as not to expose their hand for the final. For example they will play a striker today even though we all know KDB will play false 9 in the UCL Final

Giroud would be an awful option. They will play a high line so the best way is to get in behind their defence with pace. If Giroud starts, we will play right into their hands.

I agree about this but i doubt Tuchel would play Abraham.. May be play ODOI PULISIC AND ZIYECH as a front 3 and play pulisic as false 9
