Romans had a request to send him to the Ukraine, given a Russian uniform to prove that Putin has no intention of striking its targets.

LOL. It could work ... he'd be stood on the border for months without setting foot in Ukraine :-)

Rom needs to be as far away from the starting lineup as possible against Liverpool.

You would hope that isn’t up for debate considering his big game record, but I do wonder why he kept Havertz on for 90mins when the game was wrapped up at the 63min.

I will not start Lukaku however It will depend on how the game is being played. Losing Kova is a big blow. We already lost our two progressive wb. So it is all on Kante to bring his a+ game.

If we can't get the ball forward then tuchel will probably bring Lukaku in.

Depends on injuries tbh also VVD and Matip will be a different opposition compared to Lille. I'm 50/50 on what I think TT will do. There is no denying we looked better in attack without him. Yet just over a week ago he scored in a cup final for us. Logic suggests playing both our cup final goal scorers but how do you accommodate both of them?

Havertz up top for me in the final with the same front 3 as last night. If Ziyech is unavailable. Then hopefully Mount is fit, it could come down to Timo or Rom and since Timo hasn't played much odds are Thomas may opt for Rom. CHO is also a factor depending on his fitness.

If Lukaku is in need of love and attention he better sod off back to Italy. We don't need high maintenance, not for £100m,

Jose was a great manager, but the game has passed him by long ago.

Jose? Took me to Melchiot and was good.

Basically Lukaku needs a target man to feed him the ball and he will use his strength to score.

He is not a target man.

So we need to play with two up front for Lukaku to deliver rather than three.

Will we?

Oh, I agree the game has passed Jose. But what he said is true. He needs to go back to Italy as he will never be loved here anymore after the interview.

Should Chelsea adjust their style for Lukaku, they could still end up having a very successful season, and he will get the chance to prove his doubters wrong against Lille on Tuesday night as the Blues continue their Champions League title defence

😂😂😂

@Argo posted it in the league cup final thread. Reports in Italian media have said he has spoken to Inters president personally to try and arrange a return there. Apparently willing to cut his wages to leave as he is sad here.

Our latest loan to buy to Seria A then eh?

Anyone with eyes can see how deeply uninterested and unhappy he is here, sooner we arrange a deal for him to go better for everyone. We will take a huge loss but is what it is.

Gotta be at least £70m for us to let him go given what we paid for him

Sky is now smearing him and reports by Italian rags have said he'd take a wage cut just to get out of our club.

The only reason it's not a big story is because a war broke out

Lukaku was key in us winning our most recent trophy. So let's not forget that either.

Sure, our opinions doesn't matter but Havertz is performing at a worse level than Lukaku and he's supposed to be a creative outlet for us and feed our striker. He's failing hard, and I mean hard.

One can beat Lukaku over having a single touch in 45 minutes but in my opinion it says far more about our delivery line than our spearhead who's obviously been told to play off and look to get in behind our opponents CBs. Even Kante could have put him through on goal twice in the first half if he was even a decent passer in attacking areas. But he isn't.

Can't believe you mean this in a serious way.

Not sure lautaro n kdb are targetman.

I still don't think we should give up on him yet. Havertz is clearly the right choice through the middle at the moment but there is no denying we don't play to Lukaku's strengths just like we don't really play to Timo's.

Sure you can use him as a target man but he is much more than that. I'm also not certain these rumours are nothing more than media speculation used to dusrupt us before a final.

Finding a way to get the best out of all of our forwards remains an issue. Ziyech ans Mount to date are the only ones who have really found any consistent form. Rather than giving up on him I'm sure TT is trying to find a way to get gim back to the form he showed at the start of the season.

I don't think irs much of a coincidence that his form fell off after the loss of our starring wbs. Having James back will imo make a difference to Lukaku.

With all that said though its on him to show a desire and workrate to make this move work. 7 touches in a match isn't only down to him, if he isn't revieving a pass, but he needs to involve himself more.

Havertz is in perpetual motion compared to Rom's static movement. Hopefully he learned something from Kai in the midweek game and can incorporate it into his own play. True players after getting dropped have a fire lit and show the desire to get back into the team. If he really wants to be here we will know soon enough from his performances for the rest of the season.

Make no mistake though he has still scored some important goals for us this season and I see no reason not to supporr him still considering he is a Chelsea player, we've moved on from the interview so now is the time for him to justify his pricetag as a big game player which until the crystal palace game those couple of goals in the CWC were an indication he was on the right track.

Some people still don’t know this was out of an old interview and taken out of the context. They bring it up to damage Chelsea and the player to weaken the team for the final.Sure even if i was him i want to stay somewhere i feel love not been judge on every touch or ball contact. Judge him the wingbacks are back and we have someone who can pass the ball forward. People have a agenda what he do or just fart in the wind they will use it as an excuse against him.

Come on if you can score that much if goals then you can do something

True yet they have a decent first touch, big Rom like Werner too more often than not controls the pass sending it 3 foot forward in any direction.

Not helpful when you are closely marked.

You make it sound like Lukaku came to a bad team or something. I think that Lukaku wasn't even our key player in some of the best matches we had this season result-wise. So that alone points to having someone that can pass the ball forward, after all without Lukaku we won the CL last season.

Also the fact is that he did score 10 goals this season in all competitions, I dare to say that at least half of those goals were given to him on a silver platter so you can't have it both ways, when he scores it's all about him but when he doesn't then somehow we don't have a good player to assist to him, not sure who buys that...

Ifs absolutely hilarious that some genuinely think a UCL winning squad has to adapt to a lazy striker that struggles with football basics.

His 10 goals this season came against:

Arsenal, Villa, Zenit, Brighton, Chesterfield, Al Hilal and Palmeiras.

He's played over 2000 minutes, a majority of which he plays the full 90.

The only reason he plays is sunken cost fallacy
