The difference is that they don't pass it back to the halfway line once they get to the final third. It's infuriating watching us on the wings or 20-30 yards out from goal and then we pass it backwards and kill all momentum. They see the gaps and exploit it, we don't. We have the talent, but not the courage.

Given that is TT way with this team are you advocating the new owners make a change?

It's hard to figure out if this is down to coaching or personnel.

Some matches we are very direct with our passing and other games we recycle constantly. No doubt we see less of the latter when Jorginho isn't on the pitch.

No, because I don't think it's down to the coaching.

I feel like it is more down to the players. We have been doing it for years, long before Tuchel arrived.

Klopp is so cringe. Please let them only end up with the Lge cup.

That would be fantastic. Sadly it won't happen.

I expect they stay top from now on as I expect City to fail to best in-form Brighton.

I love seeing United this bad. Growing up with them winning everything their fans have always been insufferable.

I remember them most for being on their high horse during fergie era about how we lacked class sacking managers and having players run the dressing room…quite sweet seeing them not just in the same boat but a hell of a lot worse

Just a shame that their fall has coincided with Liverpool's return to the top of the game.

A bit of both.

IMO our current squad suits a slower gamestyle.

We have seen what hapen to this team when we play gung ho style under Lamp and it was disasster. We simply don't have the midfielder to do so.

Started watching from 2nd half, obviously pool dropped intensity after 2-0 but again I don't see them as that 7-headed beast, just a shame United are bloody awful to capitalize.

Am I totally crazy here in thinking they aren't all that?

Edit: how poor are United defenders? They aren't good at defending, they have no awarenesses when passing. My god.

About the first 45 minutes. There are always these stupid moments, when fans say I could have played like that. This might be the first time it is true. If Liverpool played the whole first 45 minutes with a "we are a goal down and need to score mentality", it would have been 6 or 7. I was calling medical services at HT to alert them of an pending emergency, cause usually the first 45 are United´s good half and judging by that curve, the only way to go for them in the 2nd half was to literally drop dead on the pitch.

Manchester United and Arsenal between them this season have lost all 4 league games home and away against Manchester City and Liverpool, with 2 goals scored and 28 conceded.

It's really not that healthy for the PL for the teams in 5th and 6th to be that inept against the top 2 ... simply a huge gulf in class.

Possibly an all time low standard of play below the top three ...

Sounds like City will be getting Haaland in the summer with their dodgy finances. By all accounts, the fees are astronomical. I really hope more and more is talked about their finances because it’s all well dodgy. Although we’ve had Roman as a benefactor, we’ve always been honest about our losses and have never inflated sponsorships etc.

Interesting to see whether he is the real deal or if it’s all hype. I was listening to Keys and Gray podcast and they were saying that they think he’s not the real deal and he talks a good game in theory like Ralf Rangick, Biesla etc. A “coaches coach” as they put it.
