Barkely and Loftus-Cheek are very talented players, it's just a shame they want more time on the ball than they need. They do the hard part, then just stop.

Whatever, full time, an enjoyable game to watch, and good to see one of our youngsters impress again.

In the 🎩 after battering this lot, 2nd half subs broke up the rhythm of the play and it got too end to end. Yoof had a good showing and players got minutes bring on the 🥔 s and the best stress free part TT put it to bed within half an hour so who cared if 2nd half was 1-1 no nervy leading 1nil or 2-1 ending

Enjoy the rest of the round , Carefree then!

Barkley has gone at top level, can’t even stamp his authority on a non league team.

You could say the same for our entire team in that second half. It was all very disjointed.

Certainly doesn't augur very well for Germany's chances at the next World Cup LOL

Saul was good today as well. He is on route to be a starter in more meaningful games.

Still nowhere near it for me. He's not a disaster like he was in the first few months of the season, but he's not getting ahead of Jorginho, Kovacic or Kante.

I agree. The difference in our midfield today was quite stark once Kovacic went off.

I hate to say it but Ross Barkley since injury at Everton never looked the same man again.

I don't think he is any better or worse really, he's just stagnated. Has all of the talent, but not the football brain to take advantage of it.

i cant believe how werner scored all those goals in Germany, constantly runs in cul de sacs.. nothing new we learnt in this match other than Pulisic is not a wing back and Barkley should be shipped off as soon as possible.. Ziyech tries too many hollywood passes and we are just not critical enough...

On the positives more time in the middle for out second string... Saul is doing better and lot of people scored.

The emergence of Hall aside I don't really feel we learned a lot today. Saul had a decent game. Other than  that nothing really jumps out. Players who have had first team action but struggled to make an impact like Ziyech, Pulisic, Havertz, Werner and Lukaku didn't really impress despite the calibre of the opposition and players on the fringe like Loftus Cheek and Barkley really did very little to stake a claim albeit they came on once the team was pretty disjointed. Win without injuries is the main headline for us.

Never in doubt, only drawing second half removes some of the gloss

Hall had a good debut

Our attackers continue to misfire

Barkley has a football brain a second behind everyone else, why Webster didn’t get on I can’t understand

4thround here we come

Today is not the window. He still looked like a player who has seen it all and knew what the occasion today was. Just be professional enough to go through. He was and quietly broke up the play numerous of times. His confidence is growing.

Not suggesting he is going past those world beaters but we can trust him even in bigger occasions.

Decent win with some good performances, especially Lewis Hall.

A rare match where you can experiment, give minutes to players on the way back from injuries and play youngsters to get them some minutes in front of a full house at Stamford Bridge.

Saying that, we finished the match with some lethargic players who probably shouldn’t be in the same town together at the same time let alone the same football pitch.

All in all a good win, into the next round without using some of our overworked better players.

True.

But reassuring to see him improving as we need cover with potential covid and injury disruptions..

This half has really been sloppy, disjointed and totally sh*te especially for our forward line given their value.  If I was TT I wouldn't be that impressed overall with the performance..forwards have all been greedy and all trying to score by themselves instead of playing as a team.

So true, Ziyech in particular.  I had such high hopes for him, Werner and Havertz when we signed them and as far as I'm concerned they've been a massive disappointment to say the least. I would add Pulisic and Lukaku to that list as well.

Anyway, on a postive note our latest FA Cup journey got off to a decent start and it was good to see the likes of Hall, Vale and Baker get appearances. Hall in particular impressed.

The first half was very good, solid and decisive, second half a bit of a drop off, though when so many goals ahead already can't criticise too much.

Overall a solid win, 5 goals by 5 separate players, on to the next round!

I don’t mind them scoring one. Now both sets of fans will go home happy, and it’ll probably be the highlight of that player’s career.

They got a round of applause from the home fans too. It’s ok when you’re 5 up!

So did Lukaku just not bother? How come he did not score more against a none league club? Did he not get chances?

Also why is Ziyech taking a pen when the game is won, let Hall take it lol.

I think I enjoyed our movements in that first half. And maybe that will make me support the 3-4-3 formation. However we need a formation that will make us dangerous in attack.
