World Cup Qatar 22

France winning another World Cup, how boring, making international football look like club football. Horrible turn of events, such a shame Morocco couldn’t continue the underdog story or better yet, a stronger team had faced France.

French is so good at neutralizing the opposition, didn't play that well in the past 2 games but never looked like losing. Argentina will be a different challenge for defenders, but if there's a deficiency with Argentinan defence is the lack of aerial power , expect Giroud to have a big say in the final.

Can't back the French and certainly don't want the to set a consecutive record so Argentina for me despite their time wasting antics at times.

Messi is two years younger than Ronaldo, didn't realise that.

I hope Argentina wins, I don't want to see France winning again it would look too easy.

So it looks like FIFA are planning on rethinking the whole 16 groups of 3 thing for the next world cup because of how good the final group games were in this world cup. It just shows how short sighted they are, they make it up as they go along. 16 groups of 3 was always a terrible idea and it should go.

How is it Kovacic can start 7 games, play the full 90/120 in all of them yet can barely be fit enough to play for us?

Clearly some players had prioritised the World cup over club football. Playing under Graham Potter is not quite as motivating as probably your last chance to win a WC.

Especially when Potter doesn't have a clue what he's doing or a clue how to play you in the right position.

Every other week there were reports Kovacic had knee or fitness issues which had RLC constantly in the starting XI.

Bloke played 700 minutes of football in the space of a month and has hardly broke a sweat. Questions need to be asked.

I have been asking questions for months now. How can our players get through a whole tournament playing multiple games but break down and sit out for months after playing one half of football for us?

It happens before every world cup, only difference is most of the games before summer tournaments are dead rubbers so no one really cares.

Look forward to an extended break from Kovacic after the world cup. From the outset, it appeared he just eased back to fitness at Chelsea's expense to be able to play the world cup. Not hating the guy at all, but hopefully when he returns he brings the world cup form with him. Same could be said about Ziyech, never seen him move that fast wearing a blue shirt.

It's right to be pissed of with the pair of them, both of their names fit nicely onto the chant.....

He plays when he wants, he plays when he wants, Hakim Ziyech , he plays when he wants !......Mateo Kovacic , he plays when he wants !

But Potter and the club will not question them for fear of upsetting the dressing room.

This is what we have now at the club, a bunch of players in cosy jobs, over paid a basic salary, no need for them to perform for the club.

I hate to say it, but i can see it getting worse in the coming months with players having no will to fight for the badge.
