Yes he changed into the 433 formation but immediately Mendy made the mistake, and we were 3-1 down, then maybe the morale was down, but in the second leg, we started with the 433 formation, and it was very ok for us.

We didn't start with a 433  in the second leg. It was a 3412 with alonso and Loftus cheek as wingbacks

Predictions? No use. I think every scenario is possible today. I think WHU is a better side than Arsenal and we got spanked.

One thing I hope is we find a part of our team today that works. May it be Jorginho-Havertz connection, Chalobah motm performance, James destroying the right flank or Mendy at his peak. Something we could rely on going forward. We lack of things to rely on. We have nothing stable in our side currently.

I agree so many ifs and buts.

Without Kova who can we trust in M/F, Jorginho with Kante, if Kante gives the ball away we are in trouble. If RLC gets caught on the ball we are in trouble. RLC and Kante?

Azpi and Alonso neither have the legs and if Alonso is playing without decent cover it will be an invitation for someone like Bowen to create merry hell.

The only system out of 3-4-3 where we can compete is the front three if Havertz gets the no. 9 and Lukaku is benched. If we can keep the play deep in their half we might contain them yet to contain them in that  way think we need Jorginho. Without Zouma we may also have aerial opportunities in their box.

WHU are good on attacking set pieces, Dawson likes the near post and they try and crowd the keeper.

Would be curious to see something like this, a sort of 4-diamond-2 (like against Real) with Ziyech, RLC and James taking up fluid roles on the right:

Mendy

James
Chalobah
Silva
Alonso

Saúl
Loftus-Cheek
Mount
Ziyech

Havertz
Werner

Tuchel will have learned from his last defensive selection and setup and today's should be better. For me it should be Azpi-Thiago-Trev as CBs, although Trev hasn't played in a while so it could be a risk. I know Christensen has been shaky lately but reckon he could do a job when Silva is there to give him confidence.

So, did Mendy do badly against Arsenal? Where is this coming from? Hello, Mendy only made a mistake when he wanted to pass the ball to his defender, he can work on that, anybody can make that mistake.

But as for his job to make saves and keep us in football matches, he can do that very well.

The problem of Kepa is his height. I think we were in a difficult position when Courtois left us and probably Kepa was the only goalkeeper available at that time and we needed a goalkeeper. The goalpost is a bit big and because Kepa is short, there are some saves that Kepa cannot make.

Do you watch Chelsea mate?

Christensen MUST NOT COME ANYWHERE NEAR THE STARTING LINE UP.

He gets bullied by Antonio so bad. Weak ass defender.

He is better than sarr and will be a good sub for rudiger unlike sarr.. christensen helps with our build play unlike sarr

We have a few out, but West Ham have actually rested more key players than I expected. Rice, Antonio and Bowen all on bench. Only one recognised CB for them too. Let's get back on track.

Nice. We need to get the goals in before their big guns come on though and we often fail to do that.

What's going on with Tuchel???

Still playing Mendy?? He's not even throwing himself on the ball anymore, he just stands in the middle hoping it will hit him

I'm sick of this hyped up guy when kepa made mistakes he was crucified but Mendy would get away with anything
