Impress the manager, any clubs that are watching that may be interested?

Mentally checking out is a weak mentality and isn’t going to do him any good in his situation. There’s no benefit to giving up but everything to gain from busting a gut.

The manager that has never had any interest in starting him?

I have never seen a player perform for a club when that club has told them they no longer want them. Saying they should try impressing for any clubs that are watching is just a naive simplification of the situation. The entire situation surrounding him is going to be really uncomfortable right now, it's not something you can just get out of your head.

Disgraceful cameo.

But also disgraceful man-management from the manager. It's no wonder he's pissed off and now he needs to go before the window closes at any cost.
As long as he's at the club he's obviously going to be hoping Maresca gets the sack as soon as humanly possible and that can only be a disruption in the dressing room.

Marescas management of Chris has been a disgrace.

He is one of our best players - but out of sheer stubbornness, he has refused to give him a meaningful run of games, and clearly isn't in his plans.

Ok - fair enough.

But then stop using him at all- as now you have a disillusioned player, who dislikes the manager, and who wants to leave and is doing sod all on the field. The worst of both worlds.

All I’m saying is if Chilwell got a 40 min run out after being banished in far worse circumstances I’m quite confident he would put in a better shift than Nukuku.

Why does he deserve better exactly?

Done f**k all here.

Has he ever been played in the role that Palmer is currently doing nothing in for a prolonged period?

His attitude sucks I understand everything that is said on here ,but if he gave a gut busting run or smashed a screamer from 25yds or just did

something brilliant I'd forgive him cos there is a monster player in there somewhere.

Yeah if he could just start scoring 50 yard screamers every 10 minutes he’d be cool.

I just don't understand this opinion.

I've never seen him be anything more than anonymous unless he's playing a league one level team.

No point ever swapping Jackson for Nkunku as Jackson will score 1 in 6 chances and Nkunku will score 0 of his 0 chances.

In short. We need a f**king striker.

I'm not sure how you can claim he's one of our best players, has he even had a stand out game for us?

Oh - for sure he hasnt ever  turned it on for us. Albeit, the circs have been against him. Comes in,  gets injured, gets fit, gets a new manager who doesnt fancy him or give him anything like a run of games to get into a rhythm of form or in tune with those around him.

But I maintain that he is one of our most talented players and most rounded attackers.

And yet one of our worst performers.

Yep -  I agree.

So you have a good player, who has never been given a fair crack or run in the team, and who now seems disinterested and wanting to leave.

vs, on the other hand, an absolute sh*t show of a player (Wacko), who gets selected game in game out, and gets afforded chance after chance, despite never earning that chance or justifying it.

Chris was badly mismanaged and a victim of misfortune and bad timing. Injury. New stubborn manager who is blinkered and keeps choosing the sh*ttest player we have ever had play for us.

He's barely been game time. How do you perform when you don't get a run of games? One off game doesn't mean you shouldn't get chances. But it's obvious that he feels unwanted here, so just let him leave at this point. He was bought to be the guy to help us achieve things, but he hasn't been that, so we have to look elsewhere now.
