For the record the horror injury Fofana experienced at Leicester was a broken leg (it was a horror tackle against Villarreal in pre-season, I saw it live). There is no reason to believe that he wouldn't make a 100% recovery from that.

Not to excuse his attitude on and off the pitch, but I also don't think it is a coincidence that his headspace and standards have dropped since the Club effectively promoted Enzo Fernandez after the racism scandal. We are obviously not privy to what has been said in private but the way the club and manager handled that was unbelievably poor and it is not an unusual reaction to having a toxic/abusive person promoted instead of disciplined.

It's okay if he's not okay with it, but if that's the case he should leave and speak out.

I was one who was delighted we bought Fofana. Was very confident he was going to be a top drawer player. However, while I fully agree our strategy to win the 'most passes 25 yards from our own goal trophy' is going to make any defender look like an accident waiting to happen (what we call Ant McPartlin in a Ford Fiesta with a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20') I do think there is more of a fundamental issue with Fofana. He is a lazy defender. Too casual in possession without having the required elite skill to be that cocky and then not willing to bust a gut to put his body on the line if and when we f**k up.

Easy to say we would love a JT now. Of course we would. But you'd always love a JT even if your defence is top class.

With our defence I'd ve happy with a Grahsm Roberts.

Lweis Dunk would have been a good option at the time.

We had a free run at Marc Guehi, twice, before anyone else significant was interested, only to cry poor because he went to City a few years later.

Our 2022 defensive strategy relied on Koulibaly coming in and being our best defender, and when that failed and Chilwell/James got injured, it all fell apart as we had no experience.

I would love to see BlueCo and their social media shills trying to defend that one. It would be the bullsh*t of legend.

They are ahead of everything and will likely manipulate what's really going on.

Look at Acheampong. The club and manager have been praising him publicly, yet he never gets minutes. This summer if he puts in a transfer request, BlueCo will get their pure profit and they'd run the PR that the player didn't want to stay and earn his place.

He's their best option for academy "pure profit" as it stands.

They won't sell James now that he's had a contract extension, and they seem "all in" on Colwill, so that just leaves Trev and Josh. Trev's been available for two years with no takers, so Josh is probably the easiest to sell, and will be much in demand. Our Owners and SDs are stupid enough to take the money sadly ...

It’s weird but I find it really easy to dislike this git very easily

Imagine being the most disliked French player at a club that's also been host to Gallas and Anelka

Terry played the first leg against Barcelona in 2012 with a rib fracture. Didn't come off once.

Fofana gets an ouchie in his rib and needs to drop down and be sidelined.

TBF I would have to be carried off if someone even pointed at me. I could not have played with Jorginho.

From the beginning when he was signed he was frail, and even our own CLOWN, took him to USA, for his own medical with his own people, because he was so expensive and everything was ok! what a joke for our clown and his own medical team!

Footballers aren't made like that anymore. I don't think it's all their fault though, the medical team has so much pull now, for better and for worse. Sometimes I think there should be some pushback on them. Not every injury should result in the player coming off. I've said it before, but the likes of Ashley Cole and even Terry would never have a career in football today, they wouldn't be allowed on the pitch with the amount of problems they had.
