Rodgers just said he’s not for sale.

He did say the same thing about Chilwell too then they sold him to us. Money speaks. Let's see...

Got to be the position of strength BR needs to hold to either keep the player or get the best deal.

Given Leicester have been linked to wanting to buy both Colwill and Broja I believe they will ask for them both as well as 60mill, and be flexible on the fee as long as they get the 2 players.

#Chelsea no longer want to waste time on improving their defence and will 'quickly draw its first offer' for Leicester City's Wesley Fofana. If a fair offer is made, they won't oppose a departure, aware of Fofana's goal to play at the World Cup.

I know, just informing you what he’s said.

£80m?, god I hate Leicester, this ones dead in the water at the minute.

They are letting Kasper go to free up wages, so less pressure to sell and have already rejected an offer for Maddison from Newcastle. So seems they don’t need to offload like mad now and will play hard ball; looking to humiliate bigger clubs like they did with Maguire/United.

Is that a joke? Why on earth would we need them? The only possible one from that list we’d be interested in Colwill and it wouldn’t be a loan.

i didn't mean that you would need them, these are the players we can get rid off. and i would hesitate to get rid off Gilmour. Everton are interested in Batshuayi so you never know.

we shouldn't sell you Colwill, it would be another English player we sell who will potentially turn International

it will be Guehi all over again

no manager is going to say that a player is for sale if they want a big offer

Why would you hate Leicester? They’re not playing us around or wasting our time. They’re not in need to sell him, if we’re interested we need to meet their demands. I’d understand if they were stringing us along like Sevilla did, for example, but they’re being straight with it. So I can’t hate them. In fact, I think they’ve been reasonable with us in previous seasons.

I don't see a swap happening in a situation like this. I suspect if a sale is agreed it would be cash only and a large sum. I imagine Leicester would want to have a decent replacement lined up first too. and that would be challenging as we get closer to the end of the window.

Mate no reason to hate them they acting as they should do, he is an important player and potential top class defender.

60M + Colwill onloan as a starter, if Tuchel and Boehly believe this is the guy for us. He just had signed a 5 year deal, the fact Leicester is even willing to put a price tag on him suggests they are open to sell and there's room for negotiation.

Every player has their price, and Leicester have not stood in the way of any of their players in recent history and said "not for sale at any price"

Fofanas rumoured price is 85mill, so a loan of Colwill may get them to drop a mill or two as a loan fee, not more. If we want the fee to drop towards 60mill it would be an exchange of Colwill, and Broja would take the fee to about 30 to 40mill.

Or we can keep our players and shell out that huge fee, but then that sends a message to all the other clubs of Chelsea's new owners get desperate they pay top money, and that sets them up for trouble.

Player + cash didn't work when we were trying to sign De Ligt and it won't work here. Clubs want cold hard cash and a chance to put that money wherever they want to. Its no surprise that those Italian misers juventus didn't want Werner + cash for MDL but came back for a cheap deal once he was sold to bayern for straight cash. Haven't actually seen a player + cash deal in football.

Unfortunately, the days of Roman "splashing" the cash are over. Chelsea is now a business, run on commercial lines and we will not overpay for a player again. £85m is bloody ridiculous anyway. He is a £50m player at best. I would like to get him as he is a ball playing centre back, young, strong and very tactically aware, but as usual, because its Chelsea, the price gets almost doubled. Also rumoured that if there is any sign that Leicester are prepared to sell, then City will join the party 🤕

There is very little of chance of this deal happening. Based on the rumor it is a 85 m transfer, usually signing this big involves long saga. We are one week away from the start of the season. So yeah not happening.

Leicester City want almost £75m for Wesley Fofana, they are interested in Levi Colwill but this is only been discussed in a separate deal at the moment. (@FabrizioRomano @caughtoffside)

Why are we so keen to sign a player who broke his leg? There's no gurantee he'll be the same player. Look at Kurt Zouma and Hudson Odoi after they had massive injuries

Am sure our resident fox knows about this better, however reports are Leicester will sell Maddison to Newcastle and after thar Rodgers has been told no one else needs to be sold.

Fofana deal dead in the water is why we moved to Marc C at Brighton.

They are still not close to agreeing a fee. Newcastle  want to 'structure' a deal with installments but Leicester want £60m with cash up front.
