Huge difference. A leg break isn’t as damaging as an ACL or muscle injury 

It doesn’t influence your speed or explosiveness in the long term

Give them 100M to get Tileman too. It feels like fire sale season at Leicester, they couldn't or didn't even retain their first choice GK, should have given them Kepa to get this deal done.

Apparently Brendan is considering the option of RLC as a replacement for Maddison. 

Some of the quoted prices out there would see Leicster want 65mill for Maddison and 65mill plus RLC for Fofana.

So long as Brendan can invest a good chunk of that in the squad it is possible as RLC gives him an immediate replacement for Maddison, then he needs a CB to replace Fofana. Given Leicester do well at sporting and developing talents he could improve several areas of his team.

In addition to being linked to our own Colwill and Broja, both Ivan Toney and Max Kilman are said to interest Brendan.

For me this guy makes a lot more sense than Cucurella...though if we're spunking £80m on him WTF didn't we spend this money on De Ligt??

Fofana is much better than De Ligt. De Ligt is overrated.

Fofana deleting Leicester from his twitter bio, liking articles and tweets about him coming to Chelsea. I think its obvious where his head is at. If he puts in a transfer request, it would surely help seal the deal.

Both make perfect sense and are both PL proven players. They are great upgrades to our squad.

If this happened to us we'd be fuming. Why sign a 5 year deal and all of a sudden start pushing for a move? 

Really hope Fofana sees us as a dream move vs a stepping stone.

We're in no position to moan about it as fans. We happily subscribe to f**king off players that aren't good enough for us (Sarr latest case in point) so if/when a player decides to do similar to us it's something we have to suck up.

Loyalty is a 2 way street.

At the end of the day, if we can help a player increase their chance at winning trophies, while they join us to also increase ours, then it's win win. Players move at times, it's just the way it is, although some do it in a more dignified way than others.

he probably has a bigger chance of getting into the France team for the World Cup by playing for us as well, so it's not surprising, especially as France are a potential World Cup winner

so timing wise he can't wait another year for that particular opportunity

Yes and no. Yes in that we looked after you during your broken leg rehab and you signed that contract show us some loyalty, but no in that he has not submitted a transfer request, done a stupid interview, refused to train or play etc.

If he is professional, does his duty to Leicester I dont see what is wrong with him saying "Chelsea are a CL club, is supported them as a boy and would really love this move, please make a deal happen".

So long as we are fair to Leicester and don't play any dirty tricks, nor does Fofana, it is just business.
