Napoli want Chukwuemeka.  He could he be used in a potential osimhen deal.

If Napoli want him will be a loan offer with a buy option Ala Lukaku

Similar deal to Broja (and to Hall last season)  I would imagine.

Would guess at a Mandatory Buy clause if they qualify for Champions League or something of that ilk.

Aye could be. Here's the 24 man A list squad for Thursday.

Why isn't Maresca saying the same about N'kunku, James and Lavia?

This guy has done next to nothing as a manager and with evrry passing day looks more of a mouthpiece puppet with Clearlake pulling the strings. He is starting to piss me off already.

Losing Chucky would be insane.

I don't see what you seem to see in carney, just.

He looks to me an obviously promising and talented player but I don't see him as especially standing out among his generation of young players. To me he's a good player who ideally would be loaned out rather than sold, but i dont see him being a player like say lavia who is destined to be a starter at a top top side.

What am I missing here?

Not much. On the rare occasions he has been injury-free he has shown real quality. A small sample size but the potential has been there. The unknown in all this player movement is the "Does/Doesn't Fit Maresca's System" riddle. I stress riddle.

A lot I think g3.7. His control of the ball in tight spaces is as good as Palmers. And he has the body strength to go with it. He has an eye for a pass and can finish.

I can also tell you that the Villa fans saw the potential in him too and the majority were gutted when he came to us.

He is miles ahead of a big money signing Mudryk in terms of raw talent and potential and we should not, under any circumstances, be letting him go.

I think he can definitely fit but it's not really the point, he's missed a lot of games and needs to be playing regularly. A loan is absolutely the right call. Reelevate next season.

I think being better than mudryk is a given, but aren't you worried about the injuries?

I've always thought he's shown flashes here and there but that's all. But I suppose when you've got a large squad made up almost entirely of potential it's very difficult to stand out the way cole and malo have.

If he wasn't injured as much as he is I'm very confident he would be in the starting lineup every game. I think he's a quality player and in the limited time he gets he usually delivers.

Definitely don't want him to go at all, but it's the typical Chelsea FC with youth problem, can't stay fit. It's plagued many of our young stars sadly.

He is training with the first team so he’s definitely not in the group that is being pushed out for now.

In the squad for the Servette game, too.

Yes. There is nothing beyond media speculation that suggests he is going anywhere.

... other than Maresca's own comments :

"The problem is, because of some injuries in the past, I think the best for him [Chukwuemeka] is to play 30 or 35 games in a row, to show himself that he is fit and how good he is because he is very good. With us, is he going to play 35 games? I'm not sure."

Realistically, looking at his central attacking position, how does he get game time ahead of Palmer, Nkunku or Felix (or Enzo) ?

Maybe a suggestion he will go on loan then? Having said that, last week Maresca suggested that Sterling was very much part of his plans.

Palmer is a starter and will be on the right, Nkunku is nailed on starter so his only real competition is Felix but he’s going to be options for multiple positions.

I agree with both of these...he's too good to sell atm, and he hasn't reached his selling potential (what the owners would let him go for) let alone his playing one.

The issue is will he get game time this season? If not then a loan is best, because he will either shine and join the first squad or worse case scenario, we can get more money for him after some proper game time to show off how good he is.

This one I don’t like. I really rate him, honestly think he will be a great player soon enough. Should have just avoided buying KDH and stuck with it.

The other idea that keeps coming up is that it was a way to help Leicester with psr/ffp.

The whole scratch each others back thing like with villa, AM, etc...

It was in an article recently actually...there will be more back scratching by all the PL clubs as time passes. It will become a norm apparently according to those nerdy specialists in analytics/statiscs/finance companies.

Even if you remove Mudryk  and Madueke next season we will have

Felix, palmer, Nkunku, Paez, estevao, jackson, neto

7 attackers already in the squad
