He wants a 3 year contract ? He’s crazy

Is he? We signed up Koulibaly on a 5 year contract and he is 31 years old. So will be 36 in the last year of his contract.

Auba just turned 33, a 3 year deal means he would be just hitting 36 when his contract ends. I am sure him and his agent point to that and say Koulibaly does not even have PL experience.

Koulibaly is a top professional. Koulibaly has a top character

Aubameyang isn’t even close to a top professional. Aubameyang doesn’t have a good character.

he might be delusional to compare himself with Koulibaly

maybe he should compare himself with Silva and ask for a 7 year deal

i don’t really think Aubameyang will even do a good job for us. I prefer havertz. The problem is we don’t create that many chances for our forwards. If we then have a number 9 who doesn’t contribute in any other way he will be completely useless

All Silva has ever been given is 1 year contracts, making that comparison would not be favorable lol.

I would give silva a 7 year contract right now

player/ some sort of other function in the club

He's demanding the impossible because he has little interest to move, next he will be asking for the captain's armband and Chairman' parking spot. Either we offer him the impossible, or the deal dead on the deadline day, and Tuchel will say he's still 'happy' about the transfer window 😐 Just move on to other targets, FFS

Just read Aubameyang's home was also invaded and robbed in Barcelona, with his wife and him face down in front of his children.  Shocking and awful - wish his family and him a full recovery from this trauma.

Indeed. I doubt football will be high on his list as he looks to help his wife and kids over this horror while dealing with it himself.

Or they'll do anything to get out of there. One year contract for a pittance, plus a personality transplant coming up!

Aubameyang is asking for a 3-year contract which Chelsea are not prepared to offer. They have also not met Barcelona’s asking price of €30m but this is thought to be less of an issue. (Telegraph) #CFC #FCB

I absolutely would not give him 3yrs ,why break club policy ?

I also wouldn't pay 30 m for him just walk away .. we don't need to be rinsed by Barca .

I agree…but the issue is that we need do someone. There aren’t many options out there, especially with 2 days left. If we fail to get a striker, then we’re in for a disappointing season despite the money that has been spent.

Barcelona and #Chelsea are close to closing a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - around €23M plus add-ons.

According to Fabrizio Romano

Pierre Aubameyang deal. Meeting ongoing with Barcelona and Chelsea still discussing on deal structure and final fee. Negotiations entering into key stages.

#CFC Marcos Alonso also discussed as he only wants to join Barça, no other option - personal terms agreed since April.

It’s just been in the news that armed thugs broke into his home, beat the sh*t out of him in front of his wife and stole jewellery from their safe before fleeing in a white Audi. Yep, great lifestyle and culture over there…

If that doesn’t make him want to come back to London, nothing will…

I know it's in poor taste and it is only meant as a joke but my first thoughts were I wonder if this was a raid from the Spanish tax authorities.

Something has got to be keeping these players staying with this bent club. Maybe they are taking these salary cuts because they are getting the rest in brown envelopes on the end of the bar after matches. Ah those were the days.

#Barcelona hopes to close the transfer of Aubameyang to #Chelsea on Tuesday so that they can try to make some signings in the last hours of the market, according to numerous sources as confirmed to ESPN. There will be a summit between the 2 clubs on Tuesday to close the deal

500m in debt, mortgaged and tapped our for the next 25 year, players owed all over the place, FDJ still owed 17m in back wages before his 500k a week go forward salary and they want our 20m euros so that they can run out to the shops and buy more. Fck me, this lot are a bl00dy time bomb waiting to go off

I have spent the past week thinking, philosophising, staying up all night staring at my ceiling; I’ve done a crash degree in The Greatest Mysteries of the Human Race and…

… Nope, I still can’t wrap my f**king head around the fact we’re legitimately trying to sign Aubameyang.

Since 2009 he has scored 261 times, given 62 assists in 488 games. Pretty good. At best he is an elite player. Okay his age raises questions but for the price I think we'd be okay with him in the side. I trust him to finish better than any of our attackers and only slightly behind Alonso...😃

This late in the day we need to do something unless we want our top scorer to have around 7 goals - maybe Sterling will be that but Kai probably won't.

As a short term fix I'll be ok with this to get us through this season.

Not improving our striker situation could be the difference between finishing inside the top 4 and finishing outside of it.

100%. Top 4 will be extremely competitive this year. Top 2 spots already sorted and I would say Spurs are in with an excellent chance with the way they are looking. Conte won’t mess that up. Arsenal started brightly however I’m sure they will dip. United are abit of an unknown but I expect them to be 6th. Newcastle may also be in the mix.

We need more goals.

Christ we've had Higuain waddling around the place like Benitez's stout Italian cousin, i have no worries about a 33 year old striker that actually scores goals. I don't mind about the contract length either, as this window has give ample proof that contracts and contract lengths is a load of old tosh nowadays.
