If PEA is looking doubtful then maybe we should bid for Ivan Toney instead. He would be ideal, or Mitrovic could be a smart one. We love to cross into the box, might as well sign a striker who is lethal at heading like Mitrovic, he would make a great 3rd choice and I imagine he wouldn’t cost a bomb either.

August 26, 20223 yr The Stun are reporting a deal has stalled over contract , club has proposed a 1 year deal , player wants 2. Must be high wages and the club feels 2 years not worth a punt? We’ll see tomorrow how the false 9 strategy is working and then gauge if this guy is worth an extra year to sign. That could all be speculative pinch 🧂

August 26, 20223 yr 2 years is a decent offer, WTF pay 20M and sign a player on 1 year deal? At this stone age, players could easily play past 35 if they are motivated.

Not apparently that is not true lol.
August 27, 20223 yr going to Manchasta? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11151089/Manchester-United-make-approach-Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang-look-hijack-Chelsea-move.html

August 27, 20223 yr I would look elsewhere. I have nothing against the player but I would not have any dealings with that corrupt club. I am already going to buy the bunting and party hats for when they crash out of the group stages of the CL, which hopefully takes them into administration
August 27, 20223 yr Imagine Auba and Ronaldo sitting on the same bench, that's a sight to see 😁 I don't believe United is in for him, just another ploy by Barca to drive up the price. I'm happy to abandon this, just sign Ivan Tooney for 50M and get it over with
August 27, 20223 yr II like Mitrovic, has a bit of nastiness about him like Diego and his numbers are bonkers (if a little inconsistent going far back). Doubt Fulham would part with him at this stage though.

He'll I would take Mbeumo as a wide right. I don't think Ziyech or CHO could hold a candle to him. I would like a bit of height at the head of it and have often stated that I would like Patrick Schick from Leverkusen. A front three of Sterling Schick Mbeumo would be pretty good imo
August 27, 20223 yr Really not into mbeumo, he can be handful on the counter, but isnt prolific, and would get nowhere near as much space here. I would take Toney over Aubameyang all day, but tbh, I would stick with Havertz. I thought he was excellent against Spurs, very poor last weekend, but he cost us £72m, he is in a crucial year, where he either sinks or swims, so I would stick with him for a full season, and keep Broja as backup. Havertz has excellent movement, if he can improve his finishing, he will be fantastic. Remember he is still only just turned 23!

I would like us to develop Havertz further but when we got him he was a "generational talent" for an AM. I still think this is his best position due to his vision and touch. This is where I would like him to develop

August 27, 20223 yr Havz, off a Centre forward, definitely his best position imho, tons of vision and skill, ‘Round pegs, Round holes’
August 27, 20223 yr Dealing with that corrupt club is going to be egg on our face .. likely we don’t get pea and we will be stuck we Alonso..

His best position is AM although he hasn't scored that many goals so far during his short career. We need to go deep into South America or somewhere and find the next Costa, mean streak, nasty, powerful no nonsense footballer..the South Americans tend to breed them down there...
August 27, 20223 yr Some folks seem resigned to Auba as a short-term option. Alas, I am not in favour. I don’t recall Auba being a player who presses and/or contributed to defence that much, but I may have misremembered. If he did press, I am not sure he has the pace to do that anymore. Chelsea must still have other options. the clock is ticking.
August 27, 20223 yr 2 years is too long IMO. Auba is a a stop gap until we find someone better. However, this late in the transfer window we have our hands tied and me be forced to cave into his demands.
August 27, 20223 yr Wasn't keen yet have taken a look am impressed with his range of finishing so assuming he is not injured no problem for me.
