This is likely to happen. We are desperate, they are desperate for cash + have Lewandowski. A simple "you won't play many games" from Xavi will make him agree to move.

I believe buying Aubemayang is bailing out barca because he is definitely not worth the money.

I wouldn't mind de jong for any price but paying more than 15 million for auba who doesn't start for barca and has been on a decline bar his last 6 months in barca is robbery.

Apparently he has agreed terms with us and told Barca he wants the move. Excited to link up with TT again and be a starter rather than Lewas back up.

Our latest offer said to be 22mill euros plus 5mill incentive based. Barca want 30mill. For a freebie they got and are desperate to get off their wage bill.

We look so desperate. I eoukd get it if it was De Jong we are desperate for a new CM starter, or if Auba was 26. Not at 33 though.

He‘s a proven goalscorer - also in the PL. Which ~26yo striker of the same caliber could we get? I think he‘s a very decent stop gap striker, like Giroud was before. Doesn‘t have to play every game, takes pressure off Havertz who I don‘t think is 100% comfortable with his role (yet), and gives us a clinical finisher (something big Romelu was not) who still can move at a decent pace and is not the center of the universe as other candidates (CR7) + as a bonus has had a good run with our coach before.

 

Gotta say we could have done worse.

Just get it done, or at least start with Brojas. Can't take another week of this false 9 BS😄 He should understand how offside works at this stage of his career, I doubt Werner or Sterling really get it

He will only score for us if the ball ever gets in the box , which may be an issue.

Well their form improved after he left and was replaced by Nketiah then improved exponentially with Jesus joining this season to play as striker

well, in this transfer window Boehly and Tuchel have the excuse that the change of ownership was a massive disadvantage in the transfer business. but in the winter transfer window there will be no excuses any more.

Also worth noting that Barcelona cannot register Kounde without raising more money, and they are running out of time to do so. They are going to have to sell 1-2 players or risk Kounde walking on a free transfer September 1
