Then play to the strengths of your players. If Kante/Kova was available, then play this way.

They were not available, and playing connor and Jorgi was a car crash waiting to happen.

On top of my head the only two other alternative are playing long ball or play ruben in midfield. Both are also not ideal

He didn't make a wrong choice in coming here though, but it may take a little while to fix this mess and work out what to do with this 'team'  because we seem to be playing random players all over the place where they look shocking. Sorely miss a proper centre forward, and why are Mount/Havertz near enough always being played in the most advanced positions when they have no affect on the game at all.

Very characteristic moment in the game - a ball bounces back to Sterling outside Leeds box, and while all Leeds players promptly leave the box as trained, Ziyech and Havertz stay behind in off-side position care-free and block the shot from Sterling.  This tells me that our players are not drilled into basic maneuvering in attack, they are not trained tactically and they are allowed to switch off and lose focus at any given moment.  It is down to TT and his staff to sort it out, and it is quite worrying to see that this issue becomes more persistent in our game.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. We had a clear 2v2 counter-attack, it ends with the team waiting for Cucurella to join. Our whole attacking in training is fixated to enable our full-back and that's it.

Save this comment to your clipboard. You'll need to copy and paste this a few times this season.. Southampton away for example and then at home to West Ham

Against those two? We probably won't but we'll drop points against Brentford and Forrest for sure

You guys do realise we were completely outnumbered in midfield which is the reason Gallagher and Jorgi were being outrun. We cant really blame either for that. What i liked about Gallagher is atleast he tried to get a shot in second half.

The tactics and hunger were off from the whole team Sterling played well but his shooting accuracy is way off which was our biggest fear. The other two new signings were both pretty bad. Chilli looked better in his 10 min cameo, prob should start next game.

Mendy - 3 - Awful mistake for their goal, another to add to the growing collection.

Loftus-Cheek - 4 - Never in the game

James - 4 - Same as Loftus-Cheek

Koulibaly - 2 - Dogsh*t. Two yellow cards, lazy all game, this isn't Serie A, but it's too late for him to adapt to the Premier League at his age. Not looking like a good replacement for Rudiger at this point.

Silva - 5 - Didn't really do anything wrong, which is the best we can say about anybody today.

Cucurella - 5 - Early signs that he is the type of player that only plays well when the team is playing well?

Jorginho - 3 - Bullied. Had zero control of that midfield, every single one of his weaknesses exposed.

Gallagher - 3 - Not a CM. He was all over the place in the first half, struggled badly with his back to goal. Can't see him getting back into the team unless we make changes to our formation.

Mount - 3 - Awful start to the season. Manages one decent shot each game but that's about it.

Havertz - 2 - Shoehorning him in at this point. He has no place in this team if we are going to stick with a back 3.

Sterling - 4 - Missed a great chance in the first minute and was caught offside too many times

Subs = Who cares?

Didnt watch the game but if that's everyone's rating then I'm glad I missed it.

Is it the players or the system? He has signed Sterling who looks like he is struggling 3 games in.

He's had 2 disallowed goals (Everton and today), plus missed a couple of sitters. He could have at least a couple of goals under his belt already if luck had gone his way, he at least looks better than any or our other so called attacking players.

That's cause Tuchel's gameplan is to win every single match by 1:0. If something goes wrong we simply won't be able to come back into the match at all.

How many hot, world class forwards come here and turn into minnows? At some point it is not about the attacking players.

Forget about Mendy and the midfield... Even at 0:0 and having 60-71% possession for 10+ minutes we can't create absolutely anything. Even if 1 goal comes, we have no reaction we play the same and wait for Cucurella to join in the final third. Our front 3 players have nothing to offer.

Personally think its the players. People like Pulisic and Zieych shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. Sterling would be better with better playersa round him imo. His forst few games have looked like he is doing all the work at the front.

So You Name 2 Players Who Haven't Started Any Of The First 3 Games, Would You Want Better Players Than Havertz, Mount, James, Chilwell/Cucurella

Surprised we haven't prioritized midfielders this summer considering Kante and Kovacic have both been injury prone over the last couple of seasons and whenever they are absent, the team crumbles.

Even with them we lose this game or at the very least, we don't win it.

And Mount and Havertz? Please comment - three games in, any shots on target from these two Goliaths? Please tell me you know nothing about football without telling me you know nothing about football.

We don't win but we at least don't get embarassed. Our striking issue is obvious so just wanted to point out a part of the team that hasn't been addressed and gone out of the radar all summer.

The way we meekly accepted that battering is f**king disgraceful, even more so because it was against Leeds.

Barely any fight or effort.

Bet those players do fine elsewhere. Sorry we are not getting the best out of our players. They are not individually as bad as these performances suggest. Look at Gallagher and Tammy last season playing elsewhere.

IMO too many overreaction.

I don't care about our attacker. They are not great but that is the same old story. Today problem is simple. Jorgi + Conor. I don't want to talk about Jorgi, but this nonsense of Jorgi being tempo setter need to stop.

Conor Gallagher imo was the worse player in the 1st half. I said it in Gallagher thread before he can do Gallagher thing he need to play as dm and he was struggling big time. Leeds targeted him which is not a surprise.

Btw for people who kept saying why don't we play with back 4. You have another reminder here.

I'm struggling to understand what our plan is in all honesty. Boehly just seems to be chucking money around all over the place. Chukwuemeka 20m? Gordon 50m? CB's still not replaced, an 80m bid for potential on the cards, the midfield desperate for a rebuild, still no goalscore bought in. It all just feels like a bit of a mess doesn't it?

No-one really deserves any more than a 4 today. Mendy would get a 0 from me, as that turned the game and mistakes don't come any worse thatn that and he just hasn't learned.

Would take 1 off Havertz as he was pants today and give it to Gallaher who at least tried and showed early promise before the team capitulated.

What a difference a week makes....................

Gallagher isn't a CM, not yet at least. Kante and Kova is too injury prone these days. Jorginho is Jorginho, I've said all that I've said about him. Carney is untested yet in blue.

Perfectly summed up.

Only elite and consistent player we have at present is Silva. Rest are either developing or past their best or just not good enough.

We're a long way off from challenging for the league.

Shameful performance. Out run, out fought, out played. Every player should be embarrassed after that. I know I am, for supporting them.

What's worrying is that these stats are very accurate. We are in serious trouble this season. Top 6 I'm certain of. Top 4 is a massive worry.
