Extraordinarily fortunate with that VAR decision. I'd be mighty annoyed if we scored that and it was chopped off.

Fofana a real bright point in the game and I thought Silva was excellent again.

I'll say one thing for Jorginho, when he makes a f**k up like the one he did against Spurs its a credit to him that he wants to test himself again to try and improve. Good to see him again giving away the ball stupidly and nearly throw the game. Keep trying Jorgy, one day you might yet it right.

I thought Jorginho was impressive the way he fit his usual 90 minutes of sh*te into 5 minutes, can't knock that for efficiency...

Based off the half I saw.

Mendy - 2 - Horrible. He's in the wrong sport, he thinks it's volleyball. Fully at fault for the 1st goal and was incredibly fortunate to get away with not conceding the equaliser.

James - 4 - He's sh*t at RWB against teams that sit deep. He always wants an extra touch and never attempts a cross. Horrible back pass near the end too.

Fofana - 7 - Looked comfortable, put in a few nice tackles too.

Silva - 6 - Didn't really notice him too much.

Koulibaly - 6 - Same as Silva

Loftus-Cheek - 4 - Looked ineffective.

Kovacic - 4 - Didn't look comfortable in the position he played

Cucurella - 4 - Out of position, didn't suit him at all.

Gallagher - 5 - He tries, but not a lot came off for him

Sterling - 4 - Worst game for us so far.

Pulisic - 4 - Gone, I just can't see how he turns this around.

Subs

Broja - 6 - Looked hungry when he came on, had zero service though.

Chilwell - 9 - Made all of the difference, he dragged us to a win with his goal and assist.

Mount - 5 - Pressed well as usual, but other than that, very little else to offer.

Havertz - 6 - Nice finish for the goal that won us the game.

Jorginho - 4 - Didn't have much time on the pitch, but he still managed to lose the ball that almost lead to a goal for West Ham.

Havertz scores as a sub and all he gets is a 6?  Come on, he deserves at least an 8.  Did you take Too much CBD?

I noticed that too.

he doesn’t seem comfortable at catching the ball. He always wants to parry the ball away which results in danger.

kepa is dodgy too but mendy needs to sit on the bench now. It is 3 games  in a row where he has made a mistake.

And apparently Hilario and the assistent goalkeeper coach dont tell him otherwise, or Mendy doesn't listen. Some change may be needed coaching-wise.

But no Reece James who made the biggest mistake of all?

James was also part to blame…

but i think the issue here is that this isn’t a one off from mendy. He keeps making mistakes, which is concerning.

just look at the first goal

No, you're right there Sindre. James made a bad decision there for sure.

It's just the mistakes we saw from Jorginho and Mendy when put under pressure are far more common than they are from James.

Did exactly what he did for Spurs first goal again today. So lucky not to concede from it.

Hes a liability now, shouldn't be allowed on the pitch the useless f**ker.

the first West Ham goal is so embarrassing

three of our defenders are on their ass inside the goal and Mendy is on the floor incapacitated

The constant fault of the midfield not protecting people like Koulibably that earn 290k per week... We need to buy Declan Rice obviously he controlled the match with 27% possession.

Spot on!

That is the one thing I feel TAA has on Reece, Trent will swing in a cross whenever he has the opportunity.

Even if Reece swings in 3 crosses with no takers then by the 4th one someone will know what to expect and surely try and get on the end of it.

If Reece keeps turning back and or sideways then forwards will just run into offside positions and not bother.

There needs to be an element of forwards knowing he will cross the ball then you can get tap-ins, own goals etc…

The upsides far outweigh the downsides, it frustrates me TBH.

Imagine you are Reece and you see only puli and Sterling in the box among giants and you know what let's just pump crazy cross in.

He got an extra 3 points from me for the goal alone, because if it wasn't for the goal, I was giving him a 3.

Ok, i did not see the match, so I will abide by your judgment.  He must have been pants except for scoring the goal?

Don't care, that is no excuse to not put a cross in. Chilwell does it and look what happens, we score. James is by far our best crosser in the team, if he is in the position to put a cross in, he has to take it. Put it into a dangerous area and you never know what will happen.

I understand what you're saying, but that cross only happens because Havertz came on. He's at least somewhat of a target man. Pulisic would need stand on Sterling's head to be a target. The entire first half, we only had 4ft players up front.

People have a go at Tuchel for playing James RCB at times, but I feel like this is one of the reasons why he does it. Against packed defences, I have seen enough evidence to suggest that James isn't anywhere near as effective at RWB. He cuts inside too much, doesn't cross enough and can't run past the full back.

To be fair he put a great ball in the first half to a perfect position for a striker to hit, but all our attackers were holding back in the area.

That cross happens because that is everything that has made Chilwell the player he is today. He's always done that, it doesn't matter who is in the box, he's just looking to put it into a dangerous area. You do your part and you rely on your teammates to finish it off.

He can still whip in low crosses though, if you cross it in at around knee height then they are difficult to defend against.

Get Cech back - give him whatever he wants
