My missus brought a new dress from Zara on Monday. She tried it on tonight but it was a bit too big.

She said it was Potter's fault.

Shouldn't have bought from Zara. They sell cheap materials at expensive prices

For those saying the result wasn't Potter's fault, they are looking past the most relevant moment of the game. The goal is on him, not scoring I don't blame him for. I think he coached a good performance bar, the one significant moment which happened to be us conceding. I'll give the man credit when he deserves it and he does for the most part today, but anyone with eyes especially a coach on the touchline could see that having one player back to deal with the counter is poor planning. Even the tiniest mistakes/margins are severe at this level (UCL) the team on that corner was set up way to naively. We got too aggressive and even if he hadn't told them to do that, he should have called out for some of them to drop back. This is basics and the players should know not to leave themselves so exposed to a counter from our own attack. A hard lesson learned from Potter. Tactically he was essentially beaten, despite having the better performance all in all. Not being able to score or score multiple goals will hinder us heavily throughout the season or his tenure as a whole. This problem needs resolving asap.

I don't think this is a dealbreaker until we sign a new striker because it is an issue that hasn't been solved by the past four managers due to poor recruitment. Let's hope we get it right in the summer this time around.

Before tonight, Dortmund's last ten games against Premier League opponents had resulted in 2 draws and 8 defeats ...

"Walking in a Potter Wonderland ... "

Can he turn it round in the 2nd Leg ? Well we are going to need to score TWICE to go through, something we've only done in 2 of his last 15 games.

He's now officially the lowest scoring manager in our entire history btw ...

Record now won 9 drawn 7 lost 8. 25 goals scored in 24 games ...

We are in dire need of something positive out of the Southampton fixture this weekend.

Played well last night - some small incremental improvements in the last 2 games. Should have won both of them.

Adeyemi goal btw - love the direct running. We had a similar situation again wet spam with Mudryk running at coufal - but rather than put on the afterburners and skin him, like adeyemi did against enzo, mudryk instead slowed down and passed it. Small margins.

Time for Boehly to step up his innovative approach to football and do something that hasn't been done before ?

Loan out his manager LOL

He can come back when he's proven that he can manage a PL team to score some bloody goals 🙂

Potter bottled a decent away performance, I haven't seen such a basic tactical error of leaving 99% of the pitch open for a 1v1 situation since el Nino Torres scored at Camp Nou, completely unnecessary.

On many, many occasions we saw Tuchel leave Jorginho as the last man back at corners and set pieces. The slowest player we have had playing for us for decades.

Did he ? I’m not saying you’re wrong but I feel as if kova or Kante and another were usually designated to stay back, I certainly can’t remember a goal similar to last night other than when Kante slipped against arsenal and that’s 3 years ago.

Sadly it seems we are stuck with the useless muppet till investors start getting twitchy as their assets loose £.

At the moment they probably don't care, as the prices being bandied about for the sale of Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham probably mean they are already seeing growth on the value of their investment.

I think Clearlake's objective will be to at least double the value of the club in the 10 years before they are able to start taking money out, and I imagine they have a multitude of plans on how to achieve that value growth, and based on the typical US Sports franchise model, you don't necessarily need to be winning titles and trophies to achieve that ...

In short, they will have plenty of patience to stick with Potter probably for at least the duration of his contract.

That one was probably Tuchel's fault as well, even though his first day as Chelsea manager wasn't until a year later LOL

For all that talk about how people need to stop bringing up Tuchel in spite of Potter and how we need to move on, the same posters sure do love bringing him up and blaming him all the time.

And we'll continue to do so when the "Potter Out" brigade attempt to blame him for everything.

Can Bohley just sack Potter already

why all other investors are fine with their asset potentially go down the drain like that? Giving 2 more years, all those new players we bought would have their value cut in half because of our constant poor performance

Too much noise for him to not have a thread to himself.

I'll leave you with this thought.

Howard Wilkinson was the last English manager to win the top flight in England over 30 years ago.

If Potter comes in, knowing the perpetual nature of the job, will this affect his chances of managing to his full extent, like he has been able to achieve at BHA ?

Got his own thread two days after TT sacked, opened with this post above.

He certainly is managing to the full extent of his Brighton performances. Has us in 10th position. Just the one more to climb to his heights of 9th.
