Good luck to him but at this rate it won't be the least bit surprising if Colwill goes on and develops far better. 

Just seems the way things are going. 

For a 21 year old left footed CB i really don't understand why we haven't used the money elsewhere and just used Colwill though. The planning by us is beyond ridiculous.

I imagine on the back of this either Colwill or Koulibaly leaves in summer. My money is that we're stuck with KK though.

7+ years is a lot, reminds me of the Kepa deal. The club must really have faith in his potential. Hope he does well!

The plan is to replace the soon to be retiring, old, CB’s with good young talent before other teams need to replace guys like VVD, Stones etc. Player prices and wages will increase and locking them in on long contracts might be good business even if we end up with another Bogarde along the way.

If Colwill is good enough for us why isn’t he getting more games at Brighton? 

When Silva and Koulibaly decides to call it a day, we’d only have Chalobah and Colwill. This is a good long term signing imo, I don’t expect him to get much game time until Silva retires or Koulibaly goes back to Italy.

joking aside, the point you make is 100% spot on. If he is good enough, he will get game time. If not, then he won't. Simples

Welcome!  I'm excited by this one.  In the PL there is no substitute for pace and strength - covers all manner of sins (although he looks like a good footballer)

What are you talking about. He plays every game is one of their standout players.

I am on the fence on this one. Avid Ligue 1 don't think he will do well in the Prem, but from my viewing (which is limited) he looks like a very imposing and composed CB. Great long distribution as well, very Silva like

He’s played about 370 minutes in 6 league games and most of 3 league cup games this season. Standout players play more than half the league games and more than 65 minutes in those games so WTF are you talking about???

Has all the right physical attributes and a lot of first team games for a player his age. Left footed too which provides good balance.

A bit raw when I have watched him but I'd put him on the same level as early Zouma. Good price for a player with a lot of upside. Normally we let Leicester sign these players and then pay triple for them in a season or two.

Wow wrong and strong. You do realise once he made the team hes playing every game now. You clearly have no clue on the matter or havent seen him play for them but found some stats somewhere on minutes played and have worked out hes not good enough.

Check all of their recent matches and hes playing every game and getting rave reviews for a 19 year old. Better yet check online for brighton fans opinions on him.

Sounds good on paper, 7 year contract is bizarre though.

Spreads the cost of his transfer fee for longer. Means a £34m signing is only costing us £4.5m per season for FFP as apposed to £6.8m over a 5 year contract.
