Crazy. I know he played there in the world cup but its such a waste of his talents. 120M just for a player to guard a back line. Enzo has all the ability to be one of the best B2B players in the world.

Is what i imagine it'll be until summer. Actually a really good team now, then in Summer i imagine we see the Nkunku signing as the 'striker' with Kai potentially leaving and Auba certainly leaving. All we need then is one midfielder to replace Jorginho and our team is very impressive.

I agree the spending is completely crazy but i'm kind of past the point caring now. We've needed this rebuild for years and i'd rather us spend too much money on talented players than spend a bunch of £40m's on maybe men. Sadly since the Neymar transfer this is just the norm now.

But not sure how many were wishing the club to spend eye bleeding amounts of money, on players who if we are very honest, hardly knew anything about 2 months ago.

It is a very bold strategy. High Risk. High Reward if it goes well. It could cripple us if it goes badly and the players end up more Bakayoko than Hazard.

Not going to get my hopes up ahead of time but if we sign Enzo we should aim to keep the pace of Arsenal or at least Manchester United for the last half of the season. With everyone on their way back from injuries we'll have a fantastic side if we land Fernandez as well. Think Potter will be aware that pressure will increase now that he's massively supported though so sink or swim I suppose.

If we can convince Brighton to sell Caicedo to us now but keep him till summer,  we would have an awesome midfield to start the next season with. A midfield of Enzo and Caicedo with all our attacking power would be nigh in unstoppable. Great energy, work rate, skill and speed that we have always prayed for

I know it is risky, and we are reminded by the media every couple of hours how much we have spent, I’m past caring about what the haters think at this point. IMO we still need a midfielder if we have any chance of salvaging this season.

This transfer window has the potential to be our best for many years, better than last summer IMO.

It’s a calculated risk, but at least there seems to be some sort of thinking behind each purchase.

If we can get Enzo over the line then by the time we play West Ham (and have Félix back) I’m confident we’ll have a much better team than we had a few weeks ago.

I think Mudryk, Felix, Madueke and Enzo would instantly improve our team, and while it is a financial risk we needed to get past the point when injuries to key players like James or Kante completely derails our season.

I think today is the day that we’ll find out if it’s looking likely. Benfica aren’t going to get anymore money from other clubs so they may as well sell. No other club is crazy enough to spend £100m on a midfielder.

I did forget about Sterling. i think your line up is a bit too heavy on attackers. James and Chilly want to bomb away. One of the front four needs to be sacrificed. But what would I know.

And a 22 year old midfield with just 17 league games in Portuguese league plus 9 champions league games.  I don't say it's wrong. Dennis Lillee was selected for the australian cricket team after only a few games at state level. but it is a bold move.  Would you rather have Enzo or Lukaku and I know what most Chelsea supporters would say.

Try to sell Kepa and Mendy too, replace with a keeper like Raya from Brentford. Very solid keeper that won't cost stupid money, keep Slonina for the cup games and hopefully over time can become our number 1

Why would you what to get rid of most of the players that have just won 3 trophies? Just doesn't make sense. Most sensible teams would build on that success and just add one or two very good players to complement the team. Chelsea getting rid of these players and buying a brand new team is a recipe for disaster. What makes you think the new  players who may look good on paper will play well or click on the field or even settle in.

Asking for trouble playing Jorginho next to  Enzo, in the interim a disciplined Zakaria is our best option if he can stay fit.

Nkunku isn’t a CF, will be ridiculous to spend big on him and play him out of position. He occupies the same space as Felix, this is why calls of buying Felix at the end of the season is nuts. We will just be creating a problem.

Free agent in 2024, refusing to sign a new contract. He won't be that expensive.

Felix/Mudryk/Sterling all look perfect for a high press though so should be fine

Well reportedly they want around £20m-£25m for him as he's out of contract in 2024, even on the higher end of that it would be a good deal

Jorginho is literally the only midfielder we have that sits and is never injured.

Firmino wasn't a CF when Liverpool signed him and he did well helping them win everything in football. When you've got goals and penetration from your attacking mids you don't need a target man to stand up top anymore. Nkunku has every characteristic to play there for us.

That is why getting a DM that will sit, and drop into the spaces vacated by the FB when he bombs forward is imperative in the summer.  Rice?

Isn’t that how your Pep, Arteta & Klopp built their teams? It’s pointless keeping these players who are on fat wages around if they aren’t going to start. It’s a sure way that create a toxic dressing room. Some of them will need to go out of necessity; if we sign Enzo who is going to start all games if he is fit, you can’t pair him with a Kante who will go chasing after the ball. We will get killed on the counter. Waste of resources keeping a £250k/w player on the bench .
