I'm going to put the insane money being spent to the back of my head and just go with it. Trying to understand how we'll come out of this without any problems down the road isn't worth concerning ourselves with at this point. We'll just have to trust that they know what they are doing.

It is a fair concern, and browsing a few other club fan forums (don't know why) they all seem to think we are destined for failure and bankruptcy.  Elsewhere, have read that included in the provision of the sale was investment funds that is enabling all this to happen, and longer term will settle.  If true, I'm just not sure anyone quite expected it to happen at this pace.

Not really, if Conor is 40m, selling Pulisic at 20m, Ziyech at 30m, RLC at 15m respectively would put us at a profit and some more cash to burn come summer.

Todd doesn't have to balance any books because this money is still part of the profits/terms granted by the contract with Roman.

Who has made all of these offers.

Wouldn't want it any other way.

If this all blows up in our face, we head for bankruptcy, well then fine. It'll will have been a great ride with a mad ending. Better to go out in a mad ending buying the world's best 21 year olds in 12 months.

But I suspect we might now have the real foundations of a force to be reckoned with.

Provided the next signing is a good doctor.

My only problem with this 7 year contracts is if the player turns out to be a bakayoko..

Also food for thought. We can only register 3 new players to our champions league squad one of Baladshiale,Enzo, mudryk and Joao Felix will have to miss out

Badiashiele, Enzo and possible Mudryk are all ok as they were 21 when competition started, therefore do not need to be registered.  If they do though, well, I think Badiashiele may miss out on that list, which would be very unfortunate.

British transfer record £115m oh baby, wished we'd sorted it earlier in the window to give him more time to settle in. Enzo now has this big price tag looming over his head here hopes he can handle the constant media attention.

The way things are going he'll probably stumble out of Boehly's plane and sprain his ankle.

Haha Arsenal rumored to be after Jorginho now.  Should we cash in?

I doubt we will sell both Jorginho and Gallagher.
it seems like we can raise enough from player sales, maybe next window, to offset a lot of this spend.
However selling players on high wages is difficult, so we are now locking in high wages for this group for years possibly creating trouble down the track.

nothing ever happens in January right? But this season is different because of World Cup delay

Nah no way @Gol15leaves us for Arsenal. He is a loyal fella.

100% don't sell to Arsenal, there's a reason Pep wanted him and Sarri for all these styles of play he's brilliant. We don't need them getting any stronger

Still not at all convinced this will go through, but the BBC Sport HYS is full of some very angry, bitter, jealous etc people. The hatred felt for us is so strong!!

Apparently we’re trying to get a permit for Santos. Perhaps he’s in with Enzo and we do indeed sell Connor and Jorginho.

Everton have offered 40. The rest are pretty low estimates for what they will get on the market.

Best offer on the table for Ziyech was €20m. Issue is he wants a pay rise wherever he ends up.

Contract ends at the end of the season. We are better off getting £10m & taking off his £150k/w wages than zero in the summer. We also have too many players to register for the PL.

I suppose the perfect scenario is Todd signs Fernandez, sells Gallagher, Arsenal are unable to get a deal done with Brighton for Caicedo, so sign Jorginho from us. And then Todd announces the arrival of Caicedo to partner Fernandez in our new midfield pivot 🙂

Oh pretty please !!! LOL

In fairness I think that was a number of years ago now.

Chelsea have agreed £115m British record deal with Benfica for Enzo Fernandez.

They have agreed to pay more than his £105m release clause so that Benfica will take payment in instalments.

Wouldn’t read too much into who Pep wanted even last summer. Didn’t get Cucurella, shifted Ake a CB to LB, and loaned Cancelo his only LB to Bayern.

I said I wouldn't get emotionally invested like last time but f**k it.

Honestly feels like Boehly has been reading our comments regarding Enzo. 😄

If he flops, he’ll be a shedend signing.
