January 12, 20233 yr I was never in favour of getting rid of Tuchel, so I'm no great fan of Potter but he is far from solely to blame for this, plenty of what is going on has to be accepted by the players. There is no hunger and desire and a definite lack of giving a sh*t from some of them, and that annoys me more than results. Someone within this group, actually plenty of them need to get a grip of this and have it out, it's not only the play that isn't good enough it's their attitude. That said and done I didn't think we were that bad in the first half and up to the sending off. Shame about Felix, as he actually decided that shooting was a good thing. Feck it anyway, we keep going. KTBFFH

To be honest forbzy I thought we sacked Tuchel too soon and I thought Potter was a brave appointment but given far too long a contract. Most of the players downing tools had already downed tools under Tuchel. Not because of the manager but more because they are lazy footballers and arguably sh*t professionals. Ziyech, Jorginho, Havertz, Pulisic and Aubameyang wouldn't bust a gut to get to their Dads funeral. Likes of Mount and Kovacic I don't think have downed tools. Kovacic just really isn't a very good footballer and Mount is hideously off form.

When’s its not working and there’s not one positive sign it will work you change it…it’s called being pragmatic and forward thinking. That’s a real Chelsea fan. Stop living in fantasy land. I don't settle for mediocrity at all, I do know that there is NO manager on this planet that gets this team anywhere near challenging! You're the one 'living in fantasy land'!! Do you know the history of Chelsea fc? Do you know the journey this club was on in the 1970's? Because if you do then you'd realise that you are advocating that the club goes down the same road!
January 12, 20233 yr What concerns me is the amount of money going out of the door. Over £300m spent, an owner who wont have the same view as the Russians to dropping cash and losses. And now even more compensation to a manager going quickly. I do believe Potter is a good manager. What he did at Brighton on a shoestring comparatively was excellent. But I never felt he was the right fit with us. Certainly not with the squad we have.
January 12, 20233 yr Was it January when Lampard got sucked? Ohhh...I get it now. Potter is just a placeholder until January(and he is doing an excellent job if I may say so)... the plan was all along to hire Tuchel again as a mid-season crisis manager who would sort this out and wins the Champions League again. That all makes sense. Doesn't it? or Does it? Now I can calm down and relax. P.S Now knowing how all this plays out everybody should just take it easy, open a bottle of Champagne and enjoy the ride. A new shiny Champions League Cup is coming to Chelsea trophy cabinet for season 2022/2023. Potter will also get a medal for that. Edited January 12, 20233 yr by rocker_joker

Some individuals - Kepa, Chalobah, KK, Azpi, Havertz, to an extent Kovacic - were extremely poor out there but, up to the sending off, the performance was decent. Question is is just a 'decent' performance enough against Fulham.

January 12, 20233 yr ill be at sundays game cant think what team will be, any talent standing out from academy???
January 12, 20233 yr Its up to the owners to sort the club out now, but they are desperately inexperienced not only in this sport but at this level - completely farkin lost. I wonder do they know we have jeopardy in our sporting leagues ? No relegation in baseball so it was a no brainer backing an at first unsuccessful coach at The Dodgers, and bc there's no relegation one can issue practically risk free 6 year contracts. We have signed sub par players on long contracts and high wages, signed a very expensive inexperienced coach who I thought had potential but that's been left behind at Brighton I see. Miserable to be a fan at the moment.

Who built the squad, and also failed to rid us of some of them. Not Potter. A manager can't turn the likes of Ziyech, Jorginho, Havertz, Aubameyang into quality professionals. They never will be. We are carrying too many 'meh' attitudes and no team can cope with that when the chips are down

How is it glory hunting to not want the team to perform like sh*te in every game? I'm sure we will get the old "well in the 70's we were always sh*t" excuse. It's not 1970 anymore, the expectations are higher and I won't apologise for expecting the team to be performing better than a team sitting at the bottom of the table. The players are letting the fans down with their work ethic and Potter is doing a sh*t coaching job. Joao Felix has come in for one game and performed better than any of this lot have performed in months. He stupidly got himself sent off, but at least he was 100% commited, the rest will jump out of the way of tackles because they are afraid of getting hurt. I'm sure Potter will coach that out of him though because he would rather have us playing 10 passes across our own penalty area over getting it forward quickly and try and win a game and entertain the fans. As for the rest of these jokers, they don't give a f**k about this club, so why should I back them? They will sooner see this club go down than give up their paycheck and f**k off to some other club to stink their place out. Edited January 12, 20233 yr by Scott Harris

No he got on with his job and didn't need to resort to excuses.
