September 11, 2025Sep 11 That he/his doctor used cows’ stem cells on him for whatever reason, is the craziest thing ever. If that doctor did it, he should be stripped of his title. Stem cells from any other species, and for that matter any other species’ cell that enters the body, triggers an immune response to counter them. And I don’t think that becoming immune to cows has any benefit in football.

You clearly think the earth is flat and fly on planes that spread chemical and biological agents. ;-)Not to be reductive, but I'm quite glad that neither I nor any of the people I know or have ever known have or ever have had smallpox.

Hello Doctor, my national team physio is telling me I should have an injection. Should I take it or listen to you and your advice?"This is a solid, rational comment. For me, personally, Yastremska is the dumbest sport person that has ever existed in all professional sports. From her social media presence, to her interviews, her brainless playstyle and arrogant attitude, that girl is the ultimate clown that sports has ever produced. No wonder she is the most hated player on WTA tour.Seems to me that this is bit hard to swallow

To then suddenly believe he has been force fed something by a national doctor and its not his responsibility is nonsense. He has to take responsibility for all this, whether hes complicit or not. The rules dont legislate for being fed something, he is a professional sportsman, its ingrained in them from a young age how to act in these situations. Ignorance is no excuse.

I think grey areas in this space need to be eliminated. But I think the blame should rest , if this story is true, on the Ukrainian FA. And there should be a major fine / settlement. Mudryk made an error, he's paying the price. But the UFA committed a serious breach of their duties in player welfare.
September 12, 2025Sep 12 In a sense I agree because in the end the athlete himself is the last line of defense on what to put into ones system. Here MM learned not to trust people blindly, not that drugs are bad/illegal. Far too big punishment to my liking. Anyway I feel 18 months should suffice. He's suffered a good stretch of it so far. I think he got suspended December 2024. If he gets the shelf penalty that is 4 years he's hard done by.
September 12, 2025Sep 12 All the conjecture aside, he'll probably be given an all clear and be ready to play for us in January... then we'll have left wingers at right back right wing, left wing and striker. Good we've got so. many.

September 12, 2025Sep 12 Thing is if the reports are true they had no intentions to give him that illegal substance. That stem cell treatment just contained traces of it. They also have probably some leeway on things.

Have I missed any major developments lately?Last I knew you take the stem cell from the individual or at most another person, not a different species entirely.Stem cells are used in vet therapy for anti-inflammatory treatment, my guess is that we're looking at a dodgy doctor or sports scientist here.It is also not unusual that a player will have no idea what is injected into them. Elite players actually have significantly diminished agency when it comes to medical consent and procedures are undertaken with coercion from clubs, coaches, agents, parents etc. This is also not unique to Eastern Europe, Australia had a "peptide scandal" involving top AFL and NRL players who were given tainted supplements against their will and without knowledge. Players are expected to drink/eat/inject whatever is given to them, if you question things like this at a young age you will never make it through youth football because people will question your "attitude" or "mentality".

Chelsea can't sue Mudryk to recoup his transfer fee but they certainly can go after UFA.
