Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea

Featured Replies

I always liked Mudryk. Though perhaps I think it’ll still thinking back to that Liverpool debut.

I did always think that Maresca’s football didn’t suit him and a more Counter attacking style would be better. Alonso seems more open to being direct.

I don’t think he was ever that bad really! Certainly not to the level of some of the posts on here.

Remember we had Garnacho last season, a very rusty Misha is still an upgrade.

Everyone was still in the mindset we had the likes of Eden Hazard on the wings.

Being put through Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho & Jamie f**king Gittens for the best part of 2 seasons will have everyone grateful for the return of Misha.

Happy for him and hope he manges to get his career back on track. Although if it were up to me I'd try to get rid.

I feel like we don't need that blast from the past. Things are looking a little better now, I'd like for us to completely turn the page on the last few years.

Bit of hate for mudryk but to be honest at the very minimum he improves our squad. And gittens needs a loan to a lower prem/upper championship team, thats where i see his current level being. Fit mudryk offers far more than gittens.

Do you own a pair of eyes?

I think the thing i liked most about Mudryk was that i thought there was so much more inventiveness and poetry in a moniker like @UkraineBolt then the rancid @GarnachoCheese and the meh @All Barco no bite .

Bring back the Bolt, you know it makes sense!

I have to agree, the Bolt was largely sensible.

Bring him Home!

Has he shown to be a great player? Not really but I always thought he tried but looked like he’d lost all confidence. Unlike some of the dross we’ve bought I think I saw a good player at times when he had a bit of confidence in moments. Always wanted him to do well for some reason and never wanted him to get sold which I can’t say the same for others.

Feel bad for what he’s been through. Dont think he’ll play for us this season too long out. Hopefully Alonso is the one to get his confidence back you never know.

I can't risk Misha's career on my naming curse. If i return to UkraineBolt i fear for his life.

So he was found guilty before because they used rubbish innaccurate tests and better ones showed he was under the limit?

Kinda messed they can destroy people's careers like that.

I'd say he has grounds to sue them for derailing his career to this extent, but I'm not a lawyer...

If that is the case, I would say 100% there will be some legal action taken from the both the player and the club

I don't think Mudryk would have a case to sue. The rules at the time says he had enough Meldonium in his system to receive a 4 year ban, and he accepted that. The rules have been tweaked since then and he wouldn't receive the ban today with the same sample. It's sh*t luck on Mudryk's part, but the whole thing would have been avoided if he didn't take the drug in the first place.

You can clearly tell from the phraseology of his press statement and the clubs that as part of the acceptance that the scientific analysis has improved and defined the threshold better, he has accepted his original guilty verdict whilst still reaffirming that there was no intent, and as such his ban has been commuted for time served.

I cannot see any further noise or action regaing this and he will focus on his career.

The main point is now how long do Chelsea feel is a decent amount of time for visible, vocal support. Clearly if there isn't an improvement in his quality on the pitch and his maturity off it, he isn't going to make it in Alonso's squad.

Called it

And yes - WADA are ridiculous, their tests frequently lack scientific rigour, they have no real ability to deal with state-sanctioned doping in the Olympics or cycling, and no one wants to be the ones to call it out.
