the club decided to back the player, defend the business, certainly 80 million invested into a player, so I understand that decision, but the guy has cheated or tried to and couldnt be bothered to clear his name, Folk who are innocent fight to the bitter end to clear their name, he didn, doesnt want to. No problem with second chances, but not at chelsea, Look at what happened to Mason Greenwood who was cleared of all charges he faced, he fought to clear his name, and did so, his second chance was a move away from the UK as no clubs, despite being cleared of rape and controlling behaviour, wanted to sign him.

Mudryk needs to be moved on at a loss, but out of the club. Look at what Juve did with Pogba'ss contract. They terminated it. thats a club, despite the league fixing, that took a stand. Chelsea should have followed that lead.

WADA has known this since at least 2020 but refused to do anything, likely because of the politics given that Emidonol is not used in Western farming. If you really wanted to press the science then meldonium has very little capacity to be 'performance-enhancing' for a footballer, since it is targeted at improving endurance and metabolic pathways that just don't apply to repeated-sprint sports like football. WADA is a political organisation that has allowed the US, China and Russia to manage their state-sponsored doping schemes while other athletes have their lives ruined, and it's frankly embarassing that football continues to kowtow to their nonsense.

The point was about second chances, not a comparison over Mudryks cheating and drug taking to which he admitted. One is guilty the other isnt, one moves away, the other is paid millions. Should have cleared his name but choose not to. He is and will forever be a drugs cheat who would be better playing at the enhanced games, not chelsea nor the premier league. I actually would still loan him out tbh. West Ham have recently sold Summerville to Al Hilal. As I would expect them to come straight back up I think a loan to a successful Championship side will give him the opportunity to flourish and enjoy winning on a regular basis. I would rather we did this than send him off to somewhere like Strasbourg.

Maybe not the Championship. Lamps wants him at Coventry, a few of the teams playing in the PL with midweek European games would also be interested. At Coventry, he will be a nailed on starter, and we are maxed out on Strasbourg loans.

I would agree re the Coventry point but the Santos to Forest thing added a further perspective that I hadn't thought of before. If we send a player on loan to a prem club that has a tough season, possibly fighting relegation, then the concern is that the manager will rely on his stock players and I could see minutes being limited, plus it could be a poor season. A top Championship side, as I expect West Ham to be champions, could allow him to play constantly and have a real positive season. A bit like Maatsen did. Mind you I also concede the point that the Championship is hardly the shop window we need to get his value up

The temptation is to think we should prioritise game-time but the reality is he needs to re-integrate into elite football. He needs to be around a squad of similarly-skilled and motivated players as much for his own wellbeing as his game. I think it would be career-ending if Mudryk went on loan to a smaller team and fell short. The weight of expectation is huge.

It's perfect to keep him as a sub for 10-15 minutes here and there. He runs hard and is still one of the fastest players in the league so he is always going to be an asset to close out a game. I'd do that at least until January, and then scope out whether another team might take him for the run-in.

Greenwood was guilty of abuse. There is no ifs or buts or doubt about that one, it was caught and exposed for the world to see. He did not stand trial for a criminal charge which only means the state cannot punish him for committing the abuse. I think it's appalling that anyone would ever equate this to a technical drugs breach, just to die on a weird hill for an internet forum.

Big disagre. The only way for him to restart his career is to play somewhere where he can play tons of minutes. This is also true pre doping.

His biggest improvement came under Poch because poch gave him plenty of good minutes. He was still very bad because you could see his improvement.
