March 4, 20233 yr Kepa - 7 - Commanded his area quite well in the 2nd half, made it look easy. Chilwell - 7 - Best player on the pitch for me. Got the assist for the winning goal and was running all game. Defended well from set pieces too. Badiashile - 7 - Comfortable game for him today. Koulibaly - 6 - A 4 in the first half, but a lot better in the 2nd. Fofana - 6 - Like Koulibaly in the first half, I thought he struggled, grew into the game though and confidence grew after scoring the goal Loftus-Cheek - 5 - Did okay at times, but you could see his lack of experience at RWB at times, both defensively and offensively. Enzo - 6 - Not great, but not bad either. Kovacic - 7 - Dominated the midfield at times, 2nd best player on the pitch. Felix - 6 - Decent in patches. Stelring - 6 - Same as Felix Havertz - 4 - Bad. A poor finish (as usual) in the first half and pulls out of chances to score. Too interested in getting into fights late on. Subs: Chalobah - 6 - Solid when he came on. Gallagher - 6 - Lots of effort as usual. Chukwuemeka - 4 - Had a chance but got his feet in a mess. Zakaria - 5 - Scrappy when he came on. Madueke - 5 - No chance for him with us playing so deep.
March 4, 20233 yr I may be a rara Avis but so f**king glad we beat this northern bastards. We all hate Leeds!

March 4, 20233 yr Not exactly Brazil 1970s but, f**k me, a goal and a clean sheet! Thought Fofana and Chilwell were by far the best two Chelse performers and Koulibaly, bar the odd slip, was much improved. Didn't understand the first lot of subs by Potter. From that point on we were just hoping one was going to be enough and given up thinking we could get a second to close the game out. Meanwhile the great Havertz mystery carries on.
March 4, 20233 yr Did they play One Step Beyond? I know it’s normally reserved for beating a big team but surely it’s value has been diluted down to any win what so ever by now.

March 4, 20233 yr f**k me that was piss poor once the goal went in. Looks like the players think we are in a relegation battle. Despite all the evidence I was still willing to give Potter the benefit of the doubt but his game management today was rank amateur.

Bad luck (cross bar) and bad finishing (kai) means it is still 0v0 rather than the 2 goals clear we should be. Any manager can't impact that. Not fair. They can say bad luck and had some bad finishings.

March 4, 20233 yr The good : 3 point, It help with confidence We probably won't get relegated Kovacic, backline, Chilwell

March 4, 20233 yr Who was meant to playing as our Striker today? Is the other Fofana injured or not good enuff ?
March 4, 20233 yr I'll take a win, 3 points and a clean sheet any day of the week. But I'm not sure we purchased all these attackers to park the bus with 30m left in the game.

We've finally scored for the first time in a millennia, the bridge is rocking, tears of relief and joy are flowing as we're 1-0 up against a championship team with a terrible defence who are now chasing the game. They bring on attacking subs to come out And........ We take off almost all our attacking players and play old Burnley turtle football hanging on for a 1-0 against a championship team I bet Mudryk, Sterling, Felix etc feel lower than ever. Felix is only even here because he couldn't stand Simeone doing the exact same thing even when Atletico regularly win games. I thought the whole point of this "project" was to implement a style with talented young attacking players Edited March 4, 20233 yr by TimesUpPotter
