March 18, 20233 yr Just now, Scott Harris said: Then don't include him at all. Either his an option or he's not. Idiotic subs bringing on too many kids. Just stupid.

Yes KK was to blame as well, but any keeper will tell you if you get a hand to it you must save it, and unfortunately for us and Potter, Kepa's wrists will never be strong enough. Kepa is hands down the worst keeper on the league.. o don’t know why we consistently try to find a player in him .. the only shot he had to save and keys it ho underneath himself.. wasn’t even that far away..

Everton a way too physical. Agreed. Bringing on Kante wouldn't have been smart. I've backed, and still back, Potter but he got his changes wrong today. All three of them but especially the first one. We lost control of the game immediately after that first change
March 18, 20233 yr There were good signs today but that just how thinga go i guess. I don't put blame on Conor or other Subs bc Potter got it wrong tactically. Mhm still 10th at least....
March 18, 20233 yr He’s so boring. I’d give JT the job till the end of the season. Potter is an embarrassment. The longer we keep him in, the lower this season becomes.

It feels like he just wants to keep everyone happy by rotating rather than focusing on a set spine to build on.
March 18, 20233 yr This is all on Potter. Doesn't learn. Still does the same stupid subs like he did against Leeds, where only fortune saved us. It was a poor performance. That is what happens when you play too defensive. 3-5-2 tactic is just too negative and not a formation we should be playing against a team in the blood relegation. Mudryk was unleashed last week. His reward today, put on the bench and not even come on. Absolutely bizarre tactics. Boring football once again. We should be making lightwork of this team. It proves to me that the last three wins was just a mere false hope. Pathetic.
March 18, 20233 yr Unconvincing. Subs questionable. Sticking with Potter is just a waste of time. It's like assembling one of the best Formula One cars and having tractor driver racing it.
March 18, 20233 yr 2 minutes ago, WhiteWall said: This is totally on this fking joke of a manager. Killing us every time cos of his absolutely appalling game management. Yet again every substitution weakened us and was totally unnecessary. I know it will be put on Koulibaly and it was an error. But Koulibaly had been solid the whole game and Fofana, Koulibaly and Badiashile had Bern untroubled until this fking moron decided to completely scuttle us again. Errors happen because players get confused and put under pressure. Swapping defenders who are doing fine, on the offchance that fresh legs will make the defense better is always a stupid gamble. New defenders will need time to get up to speed and you're asking them to do that at the most important time of the game, when they'll be under the most pressure.
March 18, 20233 yr Cares too much about keeping everyone happy / emotional intelligence over tactics, trying to give everyone some minutes.
March 18, 20233 yr 4 minutes ago, Dean said: Well, I did say lots of room for further improvement. So we kind of agree. I actually think we played better today than against both Leeds and Leicester. But We really need to learn how to convert a situation where we go 1-0 up against lesser opposition into a 3-0, rather than 2-2. Disappointing we didn’t, for sure. I think solving the defence is key to that. Game plan after going 1-0 up should have been to absorb whatever they had to offer and catch them on the counter. But need a rock solid and well drilled defence for that. But our defence was solid for the whole game until he sabotaged it. We conceded from a corner. That's not on our defenders. That's on our coaches and the drills they do, or don't. You could see mismatches everywhere for the first. Four minutes after Potter changed the defence we then concede.

March 18, 20233 yr While I share the disappointment and don’t disagree with the criticism being levelled at Potter, I still think the overall trend is ⬆️, with or without Potter. Trying to look at things as coldly as I can, if this is on Potter (and I agree it probably is), is that a bad thing? we’re improving despite today’s result, I think. If that improvement is despite, rather than because of Potter, the implications are pretty good. It would be much worse, and much harder to solve, if the players were all duds.
March 18, 20233 yr I can’t put into words enough how important in-game management is against a side like Real Madrid, don’t give me that against all odds bollocks.

Worse still cos there was nothing wrong with Fofana. He had shaken off the cramp and was fine. If he needed to solidify the defence then bring on Kante and go with a double six to see out the game. March 18, 20233 yr Why didn't he bring on mudryk for Pulusic ??? Weird fk'g changes... messing it up again.

Cant blame KK. He played well with Fofana. Its all on Potter. Why change a good defense line when you dont need to. It spoils the balance of it and makes the players prone to mistakes,
